Jurgen Klopp’s has since strengthened his squad, not to mention the Reds have lost just one of their subsequent 13 fixtures, winning each of their last six matches across all competitions.
Inter, meanwhile, have seen the wheels somewhat fall off their title defence in recent weeks, with Simone Inzaghi’s side winning just one of their last four Serie A assignments.
What’s more, the hosts have tended to fall short against the Italian top flight’s elite this term, triumphing in just one of their seven tussles with each of the other four teams currently housed in the top five.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that Liverpool have already tasted victory at this venue this season, I’m more than happy to complete the 17/20 (Bet 365) double by backing the Merseysiders to avoid defeat in Milan.
