SlipsTips shares his favourite fancy from the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
St Mirren vs Hearts (Saturday, 15:00)
St Mirren play host to Hearts on Saturday afternoon in what is the only 3pm kick-off in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
The Saints started their league season with an entertaining 2-2 draw away at newly-promoted Dundee last Saturday.
As for Hearts, they announced their arrival back in the big time in the best possible style with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Celtic.
This, however, looks like a really tricky fixture to call so I'm going to steer clear of the outright betting and instead dip into the number of cards market.
Over 3.5 match cards at St Mirren Park on Saturday is priced up at 13/10 with McBookie and that quote just looks a little too big to me.
The bookies are finding it hard to separate the teams and that could lead to a closely-fought contest in Paisley between this well matched pair.
I'm expecting a fiery midfield battle here, with opposing middle of the park operators Alan Power and Andy Hailday both possessing real combative streaks.
What's more, the hosts will be roared on by over 1000 supporters on Saturday, and it's also worth remembering the fairly recent off-field bad blood between the Buddies and that capital club.
Referee Gavin Duncan has been selected to take charge of this tussle, with the Scottish whistler flashing three and four cards respectively across the two games he has taken charge of this term so far.
With all that in mind, coupled with this same bet being priced up at odds-on elsewhere, I'm happy to take a chance on over 3.5 cards being chalked up at a value 13/10 with McBookie.
