IT was nice to get back to winning ways on Wednesday night as Erling Haaland helped land my Even-Money double, and I'm now turning my attention towards Thursday's stacked Europa League card.

AC Milan vs Sparta Prague (Thursday, 17:55)

AC Milan have made an emphatic start to the season and they can continue their upward progression when they play host to Sparta Prague on Thursday evening.

Stefano Pioli's side sit top of Serie A following Monday's manic 3-3 draw with Roma, meaning that Milan are now unbeaten in 22 matches across all competitions.

Milan's mini-revival has coincided with the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic who's eye-catching displays have brought some traditional swagger back to the Rossoneri's style of play.

The Swedish superstar returned to his former club in January and he has rolled back the years, scoring seven goals in six appearances this season.

The Italian giants look a different proposition under Pioli and I fancy in-form AC Milan to put Sparta Prague to the sword on Thursday evening.

Vacal Kotal's men kicked-off their Group H campaign with a 4-1 defeat at home to Lille and a bout with the best team in the section at the San Siro represents an upgrade on last week's challenge.

There is little value in backing an AC Milan success at a general 1/3, however, the combination of two or more Milan goals and Sparta Prague to collect 20+ booking points looks a lot more attractive at 5/6 with Sky Bet.

Free-scoring Milan have made the net bulge 22 times in nine outings this term – averaging 2.4 goals per game – and they have notched up two or more strikes in all but one of those outings.

Sparta Prague, meanwhile, have shipped at least two goals in their last three Europa League assignments and the Czech outfit have won just one of their last 10 ties in Europe's secondary club competition.

With that in mind, coupled with the fact the Sparta boss Kotal has a heavy absentee list to contend with, I'm more than happy to back red-hot Milan to grab at least a couple goals on Thursday evening.

What's more, the Czech capital club collected one red card and three yellows at home to Lille last time out, and with Milan expected to dominate the ball for long stages at the San Siro, I like the look of adding 20+ Sparta Prague booking points to the above-mentioned combination.
