SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Crystal Palace’s clash with Man City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Crystal Palace vs Man City (Saturday, 15:00)
Both seeking to build on midweek Premier League victories, Crystal Palace and Manchester City will square off at Selhurst Park on Saturday afternoon.
I’ve already penned an in-depth match preview ahead of this capital clash but I’m going to take this opportunity to go into more detail in regards to one of the two recommended selections outlined.
As already mentioned in the above-linked preview, Crystal Palace's Trevoh Chalobah looks too big to ignore at 11/10 (Betfair) to commit a minimum of one foul during this contest.
The 25-year old has averaged a shade under one foul per-game in the Premier League since joining the Eagles on loan earlier this year.
Chalobah committed two fouls during Palace’s home game with Liverpool and he was then guilty of one offence when Tottenham were in town a few weeks later.
It’s also worth noting that the Chelsea loanee committed a combined total of four fouls across Palace’s two league and cup games with Aston Villa earlier this season.
With all that in mind, there is plenty of scope for Chalobah to get on the wrong side of referee Robert Jones at least once this weekend.
While Man City’s form doesn't make for great reading in recent weeks, they remain a force to be reckoned with and possess a squad laced with dangerous offensive players.
Typically deployed on the right hand side of Crystal Palace’s back-three, Chalobah is likely to cross paths with Man City livewire Jeremey Doku.
The flying Belgian winger was fouled twice during a 33 minute substitute appearance at Anfield last Sunday before earning the Sky Blues a further two free-kicks in their 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
