SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of PSG’s clash with Liverpool in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

PSG and Liverpool will contest the first leg of an intriguing-looking Champions League last-16 tie at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night.
After making heavy weather of the league phase, Luis Enrique’s side had to go up against fellow Ligue 1 outfit Brest in the play-off round, though they did cruise to a 10-0 aggregate success to set up this tie.
In contrast, Liverpool finished top of the league phase after posting an impressive seven wins from eight.
With both teams in fine fettle, a case could be made for either side here, however I’m instead going to plump for a player-based selection.
Mohamed Salah has been priced up at 10/11 on Betfair to either score or assist on Wednesday night and that looks too big to ignore.
The Liverpool talisman is in the form of his life, striking 30 times across his 39 appearances in all competitions this season so far.
On top of that, the Egyptian ace has also chipped in with a mighty impressive 22 assists for good measure.
A deeper dig shows that Salah has registered a combined total of seven goal involvements across his seven appearances for Liverpool in this season’s Champions League to date.
That strike rate doesn’t bode well for a PSG side that have found clean sheets hard to come by this season.
In fact, the French heavyweights failed to silence their opponents in six of their eight matches during the league phase, including three of their four outings in front of their own supporters.
On top of that, PSG’s backline has been breached once or more in a sizeable 18 of their 24 matches in Ligue 1 this season, with nine of the 12 teams to visit the Parc des Princes thus far landing a blow.
With all that in mind, siding with Liverpool superstar Salah for either a goal or an assist on Wednesday night stands out a shade under even-money.
