After seeing his main bet land in his featured column on Saturday, SlipsTips shares a player-based selection ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United vs Chelsea (Sunday, 16:30)
Manchester United’s first Premier League game since parting company with Erik ten Hag sees them take on Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
I’ve already penned an in-depth match preview ahead of this Super Sunday showdown but I’m going to take this opportunity to go into more detail in regards to one of the two recommended selections outlined.
As already mentioned in the above-linked preview, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is an appealing price to be on the receiving end of two or more fouls during this contest.
The Blues talisman has developed a real habit of drawing fouls from the opposition this season.
Palmer has earned his side a minimum of one free-kick in eight of his nine Premier League appearances this season so far.
Dig a little deeper and you’ll discover that Palmer has been fouled multiple times in five of his nine top-flight outings this term, including in each of his last three.
In fact, the England international has been fouled exactly three times in each of his last three Premier League matches, not to mention he was on the receiving end of four and five fouls respectively when the Blues beat both Bournemouth and West Ham back in September.
Given that midfield duo Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte are two of Manchester United’s most potent merchants of misconduct, there is plenty of scope for Palmer to reel in at least another two fouls at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The even-money (1/1 ) price has been clipped ever so slightly since publishing the aforementioned match preview but the odds are still very backable at 10/11 on Betfair.
