Sky Super 6 challenge

We already see a number of bookmakers offering punters some great prizes for correctly guessing six scores in upcoming Premier League games.

With that in mind, we have decided to take up the Super 6 Challenge.

Here are this week's selections.

Our Super 6 Challenge predictions

Everton vs Man City

Everton have shown significant improvement since David Moyes returned to the club, posting a solid record of W5-D6-L2. Both defeats came by a single goal—one in the Merseyside Derby against Liverpool and the other in his first game back, away to Aston Villa. Over the last 12 matches, Everton rank eighth for xPTS and 10th for non-penalty xG ratio. Since Moyes took charge, they have earned 21 points from 13 games—just three fewer than Manchester City in the same period.

City’s away form in the Premier League has been inconsistent, with a record of W6-D4-L6 and just five clean sheets from those 16 matches. Notably, five of their six away wins have come against teams currently in the bottom seven. Against sides 14th and above, their away record reads W1-D-L6.

While City have improved recently and rank 4th for xPTS over the last eight matches, this fixture could be tricky. Everton are on the rise, having beaten Nottingham Forest away and held Arsenal to a draw before that. With form, motivation, and home advantage on their side, Everton could make this another tough outing for City—and another potential low-scoring, scrappy affair.

Brentford vs Brighton

Brighton’s season is starting to unravel across all competitions. They are winless in their last five games and have managed just one victory in their last seven overall. Away from home, they have recorded W6-D5-L5, failing to score only once—but they have kept just four clean sheets, with two coming against lower-league opposition in Southampton and Ipswich. Against top-half sides on the road, their record dips to W2-D3-L4.

Brentford, meanwhile, have been solid at home with a record of W7-D4-L5, though they have managed just one clean sheet at the Gtech all season. However, against teams currently sitting eighth or below, their home record improves to W6-D2-L1. Over the last eight Premier League matches, Brentford sit third for xPTS, while Brighton rank fifth over the same span.

Form slightly favours the hosts, who have lost just twice in their last eight league outings. With Brighton struggling defensively and Brentford showing improved form, the home side look well-placed to edge what could be an open, high-scoring contest.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth

Crystal Palace started the season slowly but have shown signs of improvement until their FA Cup quarter-final win over Fulham. In the four matches since, they have drawn with Southampton and beaten Brighton in the M23 derby. However, they’ve also shipped 10 goals in heavy defeats to Newcastle and Manchester City. With an FA Cup semi-final on the horizon, rotation or focus elsewhere would not be surprising.

Palace have won their last three home games, but overall have only five home wins all season—three of which came against Spurs, Southampton, and Ipswich. Over the last four matches, they rank 10th for xPTS and 8th for non-penalty xG ratio, showing some improvement in underlying metrics.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, looked like European contenders earlier in the season, but just one win in their last seven has derailed that ambition. Their away matches have been goal-heavy, averaging 3.63 goals per game, with a record of W6-D6-L4. They have failed to score in just two of those games, and over 2.5 goals has landed in 81% of their away fixtures.

With both teams capable in attack and suspect defensively, this game sets up well for goals. Expect both teams to score, with over 2.5 goals likely—and both teams happy with a point.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle

A huge clash at Villa Park sees Aston Villa host Newcastle in a battle with top-four implications. Newcastle’s midweek win over Crystal Palace lifted them to third in the table, now five points ahead of Villa, who sit seventh.

At home, Villa have been tough to beat with a record of W8-D7-L1. They have kept just two clean sheets but have only failed to score twice—one of those being their sole home defeat, a 2-0 loss to Arsenal on the opening day.

Newcastle have only failed to score in three away games this season, but their record on the road against top-half sides is poor: W1-D1-L4.

Villa are coming off an emotionally and physically draining Champions League tie against PSG. While they won the second leg over 90 minutes, they were eliminated on aggregate—an outcome that could have a lingering mental effect. That said, Villa possess a deep, quality squad and should still be competitive.

With both sides pushing for European spots and boasting strong attacking options, this sets up to be an entertaining contest. Both teams to score looks likely, with the hosts just edging it.

Ipswich Town vs Arsenal

Ipswich appear to be playing with a bit more freedom now that relegation is almost inevitable. Should results go against them and they fail to beat Arsenal on Sunday, their drop to the Championship could be officially confirmed. At home, Ipswich have managed just one win all season, keeping only one clean sheet and failing to score in six of their 16 matches.

Arsenal’s away form stands at W7-D7-L2, and they have only failed to score in three road games. However, with their Champions League focus still lingering—having just knocked out the reigning holders midweek—some rotation could be on the cards. That said, Arsenal currently sit six points clear of fourth-placed Nottingham Forest, with Manchester City a further two points back. Their top-four spot looks secure, while a title push appears out of reach.

Given the circumstances, Arsenal may not be at full intensity, and Ipswich could capitalise on that to find the net. Still, with the gulf in quality, Arsenal should have more than enough to secure a comfortable win.

Leicester City vs Liverpool

Leicester could be relegated before they even kick off against Liverpool, depending on other results over the weekend. Under Ruud van Nistelrooy, they have been woeful—managing just W2-D2-L15. They have scored only 11 goals in that 19-match stretch and conceded an average of 2.47 goals per game.

Things started brightly with a win over West Ham and a draw against Brighton, but since then, it’s been a complete collapse—just six goals scored and 15 losses in the last 17 matches.

On the other hand, Liverpool are closing in on another Premier League title. If Ipswich manage to beat Arsenal on Sunday, the Reds could be just one win away from sealing it. That sets the stage for a celebratory atmosphere from Liverpool fans and players, in stark contrast to the mood in the Leicester camp, where fans could be witnessing the confirmation of their relegation. The Foxes fans have already started to turn on the players, manager and club so this could be a toxic atmosphere.

All signs point to Liverpool putting on a dominant display here—both to move one step closer to the title and to pile further misery on Van Nistelrooy’s struggling side.

  • Score 0-3 at 7.50 with Skybet

The total odds for all six games are a massive 451,254 with Skybet, which may be worth a £1 stake for some fun, I am keen to back Arsenal and Liverpool to send the Tractor Boys and Fixes down by winning 3-1 and 3-0 respectively. Combining these two games combined gives you odds of 82.50 with Skybet.
