A quirk of the fixtures list x the League Cup sees Queen’s Park face Arbroath for the second time in a week in the Championship. It’s bottom versus top at Gayfield, largely as a result of the Spiders’ 2-1 win last week which saw them make it two wins from two.
They’re 19/20 to make it three from three but a punt on them to score two or more at evens could be a better option considering Arbroath have shipped 13 in their last five.

We were unlucky against united last Monday. Played well. Most shots on goal at old Trafford since 2005 and looked very good. Our major problem last season was that we simply didn’t create chances. Keep creating as we did and goals will come. Tactically we were excellent. The overload through the middle was the way to go.
Brighton today is a tough tough game. They are a bogey side for us. I can’t really call it.

Trouble with that bet was odds were approx 55/1 ish, yet there are 380 games played in a Premier League season.
If I offered you, the same odds of 55/1 for > 0.5 goals in every PL game, many people would lump on it.
Yet last season, 22 out of 380 games ended 0:0 (that’s 5.8% or 1 in every 17 matches)
Even though rules have changed, it’s extremely unlikely that EVERY match out of 380 matches will have at least 1 card – especially as the season progresses.
There is over 700 games played in a Prem season actually 760 if maths is correct.

Strathspey were last years whipping boys in this league conceding 154 goals. It got to a point the bookies wouldn’t list their games. They look slightly better this year with a few changes but have started the campaign with 4-0, 3-1 and 2-1 losses so still leak goals. Banks O Dee aren’t goal shy and were the 3rd highest scorers last season even though they finished 10th. They have scored 9 in their first 3 league games so far.
The 43/40 on offer for over 4.5mgs tempts but with an added safety of the Asian line sitting at nearly evens I’ll take that. Banks took 16 goals off Strathspey in last years two meetings, and wouldn’t surprise me to see another convincing win or here’s hoping 😅
