View our expert's Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Saturday which include two teams' total goals and Both Teams to Score in another two.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Rangers to score 3+
Rangers will unveil the Premiership flag in front of 23,000 fervent fans and Livingston could get caught up in the maelstrom that will engulf Ibrox at lunchtime on Saturday.
The Gers have managed to hold on to all their prized assets and have added striker Fashion Sakala to their ranks and he looks a good addition to an already potent attacking squad.
After over-achieving last season, Livi could struggle this term. They scraped through their Premier Sports Cup group, largely thanks to wins over Highland League side Brechin City and League Two outfit Cowdenbeath and rarely enjoy trips to Ibrox.
Rangers to celebrate their league title in style by racking up three or more goals.
Dundee v St Mirren – Both Teams To Score
Dundee scored goals for fun in the group stages of the Premier Sports Cup and will be an entertaining addition to the Premiership this season. Irish internationalist, Cillian Sheridan has been added to already experienced squad and he should be a good foil for striker Jason Cummings.
St Mirren weren't quite so prolific in topping their group but they'll be setting their sights on a top six finish this season after just missing out last term. To do so they need to be winning games such as these or at the very least avoiding defeat and they've bolstered their attcking options with the addition of Curtis Main and Greg Kiltie.
Both teams are more than capable of getting on the scoresheet on the opening day.
Partick Thistle v Queen of the South – Both Teams To Score
Partick Thistle will be aiming for back-to-back promotions when they kick off their campaign at Firhill on Saturday but a more realistic target will be to consolidate their place in the Championship and hopefully nick a play-off place.
The Jags finished strongly to win League One last season but defeats to Dunfermline and St Mirren will have tempered expectations. In Brian Graham they've an experienced, reliable striker who has already added to his 11-goal hauls last season with four in the Premier Sports cup.
Queen of the South's Ally Roy has already scored six goals for the Doonhamers this season including a hat-trick against Airdrionians so he'll be the main danger against Thistle. Allan Johnson's side are to be written off at your peril and can find the net against the Jags.
Cove Rangers to Score 2+
Falkirk have had their request to have their match against Cove Rangers refused by the SPFL. The Bairns have already had to forfeit two Premier Sports Cup matches, leading to them finishing bottom of their group, and have barely trained ahead Saturday's match.
Cove were already favourites to open their campaign with a win but their price has shortened the closer we've got to kick-off. Paul Hartley has added some serious experience to his squad during the summer and look a good shout to top a competitive division.
Mitch Megginson will once more spearhead the Cove attack and the Wee Rangers can take advantage of Falkirk unpreparedness by scoring a couple on their way to a win.
