Saturday’s football tips: Try a 5/4 Morocco bet as they bid to end Canada’s World Cup adventure

Canada have done themselves proud as World Cup co-hosts and they've made history by lining up a last-16 clash with Morocco tonight.

In their previous two appearances at the finals, the Canadians never managed to get out of the group stage.

But they reached the knockouts pretty comfortably then went a step further by edging a 1-0 victory over South Africa in the last 32.

Next up is a clash with the Moroccans and Jesse Marsch's side will need to upset the odds if they're to march into the quarter-finals.

Canada vs Morocco top betting tips

Canada had to play their last-32 clash on American soil and it's a similar story tonight with the game taking place in Houston.

That's probably why Bet365 make them 4/1 outsiders for a win in 90 minutes, with the Moroccans 3/4 in the same market.

But another reason is the lack of genuine quality in their ranks, with Marsch's side creating precious few chances against South Africa.

Morocco, on the other hand, have a squad packed with top talent and have looked pretty slick so far. The North Africans should be too strong tonight and backing them for a win with over 1.5 goals pays a decent 5/4 at Bet365.

Achraf Hakimi's raids down the right flank will be a huge threat and the Moroccan skipper looks good at 21/10 to score or assist.

Paraguay vs France

France are now just 15/8 to win the World Cup and it's hard to disagree with those odds after watching Les Bleus sweep Sweden aside in the last 32.

That match ended in a 3-0 scoreline but the French could have scored six or seven, such was their dominance.

Sweden's defence didn't put up much resistance but the French could find it a bit harder tonight against a Paraguay side who are likely to park the bus.

The South Americans bored their way to a shootout win over Germany in the last round and will no doubt use the same tactics tonight.

France have the tools to break them down but I'd be surprised if they scored a barrowload so I'm combining a win to nil for Les Bleus with under 3.5 goals at 11/10 with Bet365.

Ousmane Dembele has netted four times already at the World Cup and should have a few efforts from distance tonight. The PSG star is a tempting 13/8 with Bet365 to have over 1.5 shots on target and that price could be popular on the World Cup betting apps.

Spain Under-19s vs Germany Under-19s

Spain and Germany have both already qualified for the semi-finals of the European Under-19 Championship so it will be interesting to see how they treat today's Group A decider.

Sealing top spot should theoretically secure an easier tie in the last four but the managers might be tempted to give some players a rest so it's a tricky one to predict.

The Spanish have been in awesome form so far, smashing seven past hosts Wales then beating Denmark 3-0, but the Germans have also been free scoring, netting eight times in their opening two victories.

Bet365 make La Roja 3/4 favourites and that seems fair enough so I'm going to add on over 1.5 goals to boost their odds to 6/5.

We should see goals based on the first two rounds of Group A fixtures and combining BTTS with over 2.5 strikes pays evens at Bet365.
