Saturday’s Ligue 1 schedule is all about the top of the league, with crucial fixtures involving three of the top seven teams.
Lyon will try to build on their massive win over PSG when they host relegation-threatened Auxerre. PSG will continue their title charge with a trip to Angers, and Monaco will try to reclaim their place in the top six when they visit Toulouse.

Lyon vs. Auxerre (2pm)
Lyon secured a fantastic and somewhat surprising victory over champions PSG, propelling them back into the top three. Now they face a far more manageable challenge in the form of Auxerre, who, however, are fighting for survival and could prove dangerous.
What’s interesting about the visitors is that, even though they aren’t winning their matches, almost every game is high-scoring. Given that Lyon can hardly be called a team in form after just two wins, we can expect a bit more action with the visitors involved as well.
The first match between the two teams this season ended 0-0, but that’s an exception. The previous eight, meanwhile, featured over 2.5 goals.

Angers vs. PSG (6pm)
Angers are one of the three teams in the worst form in the league, and they’re likely in for a tough Saturday against PSG, but at least they have a comfortable enough cushion above the relegation zone to afford another loss.
PSG bounced back from their shocking loss to Lyon with an easy win over Nantes, and they can’t afford any more slip-ups. They probably won’t feel too nervous ahead of this match, given that their last loss to Angers was back in 1975. They also have 19 consecutive wins against the Black and Whites.
However, Angers are one of the teams that have conceded the fewest goals at home, so we expect a low-scoring match. Fortunately, bookies give us plenty of opportunities, as the markets are a bit extreme, influenced by the gap in class.

Toulouse vs. Monaco (8:05pm)
Toulouse is going through its toughest stretch of the season so far, having been eliminated from the Cup semifinals this week with a heavy defeat. This loss marked their fourth in a row, with the team conceding at least three goals in each match.
Monaco have faltered against two teams from the bottom half of the table, making their task much more difficult. They must win every single match until the end of the season or risk missing out on Europe.
Toulouse are quite difficult to beat at home, but right now they seem to have serious defensive problems. That’s why we’ll take advantage of the high odds for the visitors.
