Saturday’s fixtures feature four La Liga clashes, with the main focus on the lower half of the table and the teams that, on paper, should be performing much better.
High-scoring matches and surprise results are possible, as some teams return from Champions League away fixtures while others have had a full week’s rest.

Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions
Rayo Vallecano vs. Elche (1pm)
Rayo Vallecano and Elche have demonstrated similar play since the start of the campaign, and both reside dangerously close to the bottom of the table.
Last season’s top half finishers Rayo simply cannot produce a good performance over 90 minutes. They start strong and get the lead, but have failed to maintain it in four out of eight matches (D2, L2). Their defence has been the main problem, with 17 conceded goals so far.
Elche did not lose any of their last three matches, but the two recent scoreless draws are not something to brag about. Rayo Vallecano have lost just twice at home in 18 matches in 2026, so the visitors’ hopes can’t be too high.
Rayo Vallecano vs. Elche top betting tip: Rayo Vallecano to score in 1st half
Racing Santander vs. Espanyol (3:15pm)
Racing Santander’s matches so far have been among the most entertaining to watch if you’re a neutral supporter. With an average of 4.2 goals per match, you can always expect plenty of goals at both ends – and especially in their own net, having conceded 25 goals in nine rounds.
Espanyol have exactly the same record and are right behind them in the table, but they are certainly faring much better defensively. However, they have managed just one away win so far this season, so it’s hard to expect much.
In fact, Racing Santander are still unbeaten at home, with all four of their home matches featuring goals at both ends and over 2.5 goals. I’m going to look for the same outcome here, without worrying about the winner.
Racing Santander vs. Espanyol top betting tip: BTTS, Over 2.5 goals
Valencia vs. Villarreal (5:30pm)
Valencia and Villarreal have both underperformed so far, with just three points separating them in the lower half of the table. The visitors are at least showing promise in attack and picking up wins amidst their defeats, but Valencia are in a serious slump.
In five home games this season, the Bats have scored in just one match and have not even come close to a win. Historically, they have performed well against Villarreal at home, which should provide them with motivation, but the fact remains that they are among the lowest-scoring teams.
Villarreal cannot boast of many successes away from home this season, but at least we can say they score plenty of goals. During the week, they scored three goals against Liverpool, which is commendable, even though they lost.
Valencia vs. Villarreal top betting tip: Villarreal to win
Atletico Madrid vs. La Coruna (8:00pm)
Atletico Madrid have not lost a single one of their last seven matches, and their form so far represents their best start to a season in the last six years.
La Coruna are also exceeding expectations after returning to La Liga following an eight-year absence, having suffered just two defeats in their first nine matches. They’ve been scoring plenty of goals and, so far, absolutely every one of their matches has been very closely contested, regardless of the opposition’s standard.
However, I reckon Atletico Madrid are a cut above at the moment. It won’t be easy for them, especially after the tough match they played during the week, so I’d go for a 2–1 result.
