Two clubs in contrasting form meet at the Visana Arena on Sunday afternoon as struggling Swiss champions FC Thun entertain leaders Lugano.
It’s been a disastrous defence of their maiden Swiss Super League title for FC Thun, as they come into this weekend in ninth position, picking up just 10 points across their opening 10 matches (W3-D1-L6).
They have struggled particularly at home, with Gian-Luca Privitelli’s hosts collecting a solitary point across their opening four clashes at home in the Swiss top flight (W0-D1-L3), failing to score on three occasions and shipping 11 goals.
Thun come into this clash off the back of a 0-1 defeat at home to Hajduk Split in the Conference League, whilst Lugano claimed a memorable 2-5 win away to Getafe.
Mattia Croci-Torti’s visitors have also been flying in the league this season, picking up 28 points from a possible 30 (W9-D1-L0), only dropping points in a 2-2 draw at home to nearest-challengers Young Boys.
