The Bundesliga is the place to be for action on Saturday, with no fewer than six matches on the schedule.

There are several matchups that are likely to produce goals, along with a few that might yield unexpected outcomes.

Don’t miss a moment of Saturday’s Bundesliga action with our expert tips and predictions.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

Augsburg vs. Union Berlin (2:30pm)

No team in the Bundesliga has seen more goals in their matches so far than Augsburg. Their matches have averaged 4.7 goals, with six out of six going over 2.5 goals.

Union Berlin have also seen plenty of action, though not exactly in the direction they would have liked. Having conceded 17 goals, they have the second-worst defence in the league, although they have kept a clean sheet in their last two matches.

However, I believe that, given the overall quality of their play, they cannot hope for a long winning streak, whilst Augsburg are far too dangerous in attack at the moment.

FC Koln vs. Schalke (2:30pm)

FC Koln and Schalke have had almost identical starts to the season, although one of the teams’ matches have been far more goal-packed.

Another thing they have in common is that neither team performs particularly well away from home. FC Koln, in particular, are still unbeaten in front of their own fans, and that will be a key factor here.

If we look at the head-to-head record between the two sides, we can also see that Schalke have not won at this stadium in the Bundesliga since 2016.

Mainz vs. Werder Bremen (2:30pm)

Mainz have made a strong start to the season, but there’s no way they can hold onto that position in the table unless they start winning at home.

So far, they are one of only three teams yet to secure a home win, which is quite surprising given that they are the strongest away side in the league so far.

They need to capitalise on Werder Bremen’s poor form away from home, as the River Islanders are yet to win on the road. However, we cannot overlook how high-scoring their away fixtures have been, so I’ll go for over 2.5 goals.

Mainz vs. Werder Bremen top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Paderborn vs. Hamburger (2:30pm)

Their goal statistics don’t show it, but Hamburger are one of only two teams to have won their last three Bundesliga matches. In those three matches, they scored all their goals for the season, having failed to score a single goal in the first three rounds.

Paderborn have shown flashes of brilliance, but for the most part we see nothing positive from them. It’s obvious that with this style of play, you can’t achieve much in the Bundesliga, especially if you don’t have the players to score enough goals.

In my view, we’ll see a closely contested match, given how well these teams know each other following their time in the lower division in recent years. But I think it’s worth taking a chance on the visitors at these high odds.

RB Leipzig vs. Elversberg (2:30pm)

Having conceded 10 goals in their two away fixtures over the past seven days, RB Leipzig will be relying on their strong home form and their historical record against Bundesliga newcomers to get back to winning ways.

It has long been known that the Red Bulls are among the strongest home sides in the league, whilst they struggle away from home. This has been evident throughout this campaign too, with three wins from three home games and not a single win from three away fixtures.

Elversberg are undoubtedly impressive, but RB Leipzig have never lost to a league newcomer, boasting 35 wins and five draws. This, incidentally, is an absolute league record.

Borussia Dortmund vs. Eintracht Frankfurt (5:30pm)

Borussia Dortmund have not looked at all convincing in recent weeks, but they will now be counting on their home form and the visitors’ defensive problems.

Eintracht Frankfurt kept their first clean sheet in the league since March, but doing so away from home looks like a far more difficult task, having conceded 10 goals in three away matches.

Dortmund have scored at least three goals in eight of their last home matches against Eintracht. The visitors, meanwhile, have managed just one win at this ground since 2010. Everything points to a win for BVB.
