WOLFSBURG were on fire in midweek and will be looking to follow up their thrilling win over Leverkusen by sending Eintracht Frankfurt closer to the drop zone.
Oliver Glasner's men proved me wrong in midweek when they went to in-form Leverkusen and dished out a shock 4-1 thrashing (below). They could have won by an even bigger margin and it was a huge three points in their bid to land a Europa League slot.
Wolfsburg's form has been good since their return to action, with wins either side of a defeat to high-flying Dortmund, so they look in great shape.
The Wolves remain three points ahead of Hoffenheim in the final Euro slot and will be confident of defeating a Frankfurt side stuck at the wrong end of the table.
Eintracht showed a bit of character in midweek by coming from 3-1 down to salvage a 3-3 draw with Freiburg in a thriller. But that's the only point they have picked up in their last five matches in all competitions so they are in wretched form.
Adi Hutter's men are now just two points clear of Fortuna Dusseldorf, who sit in the relegation play-off slot, so they need to turn things around to move away from danger.
How the bookies view it
It's no surprise to see Wolfsburg as 19/20 favourites with most firms while Frankfurt are 11/4 and the draw a best 14/5 at BetVictor. Wolfsburg's last three wins have come with both teams scoring and a repeat here pays 5/2 with Bet365.
Recent head to head
Wolfsburg won 2-0 in Frankfurt earlier this season and are unbeaten in their last three games in this fixture. Eintracht have only won once in the last seven head-to-heads, a 3-1 victory on the road in 2018.
Players to watch
Maximilian Arnold was Wolfsburg star's man in Leverkusen with his left peg causing so much damage from set-pieces. He set up two goals with wicked deliveries, bringing up my tip for a header to be scored, and another free-kick was deflected home.
Arnold is 5/1 with Paddy Power for another goal here but is probably more likely for an assist which is 29/10 with Ladbrokes.
I flagged up Andre Silva as Frankfurt's biggest threat when they faced Monchengladbach in their first game back and he scored their consolation in that 3-1 loss. The Portuguese striker is 5/2 with 888Sport to net in this game and that's a decent option.
Anything else catch the eye?
Frankfurt have picked up four or more yellow cards in two of their last three matches so they look good value to have more bookings than Wolfsburg at evens with Betway.
If you're looking for a bonkers bet then Paddy Power price a red card for both teams at a whopping 50/1.
