THE second Copa America semi-final will take place in the early hours of Thursday morning when Uruguay face Colombia at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Both teams have done well to reach this stage of the tournament but both will now have their sights on the final on Sunday.
Uruguay have been the best team to watch at the tournament so far and came through a gruelling clash with Brazil in the quarter-finals – beating the Selecao in a penalty shootout.
Colombia, meanwhile, put in a stunning performance in their quarter-final, beating Panama 5-0 to reach the semi-finals.

How the bookies view it: Too close to call
The bookmakers aren't entirely sure how to call this one with all three outcomes being considered almost as likely as each other. Colombia are extremely narrow favourites and have been priced at 8/5 with Betfred to win inside 90 minutes, while a Uruguay win has been priced at 7/4. The draw, and therefore extra time, has been priced at 9/5.
Recent head-to-head: Minimal bragging rights
Uruguay vs Colombia is one of the oldest rivalries in South American football and the two sides have faced each other on 45 previous occasions. Uruguay have come out on top more often than not with 20 wins compared to Colombia's 14. The recent H2H record suggests extra time and penalties are in play here – three of the last five meetings have finished all square.
Players to watch: The battle of Liverpool's finest
The winner of this match may well come down to which Liverpool starlet performs best on the day. One one side of the pitch, there will be Uruguay's Darwin Nunez whose goalscoring record for his nation is mightily impressive.
Nunez, who is often accused of being wasteful in front of goal for Liverpool, has scored five goals in his last five matches for Uruguay and will be their biggest goal threat on Wednesday night.
On the other side is Colombia's Luis Diaz. The electric winger has also been performing well for his country of late. He has scored three goals and provided one assist in his last four appearances for Colombia and will be their biggest offensive weapon on the night.

Marcelo Bielsa will have to negotiate a defensive injury crisis for this one as Nahitan Nández and Ronald Araújo will both miss out due to suspension and injury respectively. Colombia, on the other hand, have a complete squad available with Jefferson Lerma set to return after serving a suspension in the quarter-finals.
