SEVILLA are looking to end a disappointing campaign on a positive note as they battle Barcelona in the season finale on Sunday. The hosts have been out of sorts in recent weeks and should once again fall short to the Catalans, who have been in good form lately.
It has been yet another disappointing campaign for Sevilla, who are set to finish in the bottom half of the season once again. They looked to have turned a corner in April but returned to default settings this month and have now lost their last three matches, including a 2-0 defeat to Athletic Bilbao last time out.
A small positive for Sevilla heading into Sunday’s clash is that they have done some good work at home in recent weeks. Quique Sanchez Flores’ men have won four of their last six home matches but were beaten 1-0 by relegated Cadiz in their previous fixture in front of their fans.
Barcelona have been in Real Madrid’s shadow for much of the season and are set to finish second on the standings. Xavi’s men have shown some good form in recent weeks, winning four of their last five matches, including a 3-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano last time out.
