RANGERS made a statement of Europa League intent with their win at Standard Liege and will be confident of racking up another three points when Lech Poznan come to Ibrox.
Steven Gerrard's men proved that last season's march to the last 16 was no fluke as they turned in another impressive display in Belgium, with Kemar Roofe's wonder goal sealing a 2-0 triumph (below).
I tipped Standard Liege in the double chance market that night, given their own impressive European record, but it was a deserved victory with Rangers again looking solid at the back.
Only Bayer Leverkusen have beaten Gers at Ibrox in Europe since Gerrard took charge so it's hard to see Lech Poznan claiming three points, especially after losing 4-2 at home to Benfica in their group opener.
They head to Ibrox on the back of a three-game run without a win and languish mid-table in the Polish league so it would be a big surprise if Lech inflicted Rangers' first defeat this season.
How the bookies view it
Lech Poznan have been written off and are as big as 11/2 with Bet365 for the win. The draw is 15/4 with the same firm while Rangers' best price is 8/15 at William Hill.
Given Rangers' defensive record it's tempting to back them to win to nil at 7/4 with BetVictor. But Lech are renowned for having a go so don't rule out a home win with both teams to score at 85/40 with the same firm.
Team news
Borna Barisic remains an injury doubt for Rangers so Calvin Bassey may deputise again at left-back. Long-term crock Nikola Katic is the only other absentee but Gerrard may opt to rest a few players ahead of a huge league game at Kilmarnock.
Portuguese playmaker Pedro Tiba is a major doubt for Lech and it will be a big blow if he's missing as he is one of the team's creative sparks.
Players to watch
It's hard to predict who will start up front for Rangers with Alfredo Morelos (below), Roofe and Jermain Defoe all in contention. So I'm going to plump for spot-kick specialist James Tavernier instead and the full-back is 13/5 with Betway to repeat his strike against Standard.
Mikael Ishak has nine for the season at Lech Poznan and looks their best bet for a goal at 14/5 with Genting. He scored both goals against Benfica on Matchday One.
Anything else catch the eye?
I tipped a penalty to be awarded in Rangers' first group game and it came up at 2/1. A repeat here pays 13/8 at Bet365 and is worth considering.
Lech Poznan have scored in every game they've played this season so I fancy both teams to score at 4/5 with William Hill, even though Gerrard's side have been so impressive at the back. Five out of Lech's last six matches have seen over 2.5 goals and a repeat at Ibrox pays 4/6 with Bet365.
I fancy Rangers to be leading at both half-time and full-time and that is priced 11/8 at BetVictor.
