WEST HAM can take a huge stride towards Premier League safety by claiming a victory that would condemn Norwich City to a swift return to the Championship.
The Canaries remain bottom of the table after crashing to a sixth successive league defeat at Watford in midweek, a game that saw both bets come up for our man Slips Tips.
That has left them 10 points adrift of safety with just four games to play so another defeat here would finally put Daniel Farke's men out of their misery.
West Ham were in deep trouble themselves after losing five games out of six either side of the coronavirus lockdown but a stirring 3-2 win over Chelsea then gave them a massive boost.
Davie Moyes' side followed that up with a battling point at Newcastle only to lose at home to Burnley on Wednesday, leaving them looking over their shoulder again.
But two more wins would probably be enough for the Hammers and they will view this as a golden chance to claim one of them.
How the bookies view it
With Norwich in such dismal form it's no shock to see West Ham as favourites at a best 21/20 with 888Sport. Norwich are 29/10 with Betfair while the draw is 39/14 at VBet.
The Canaries have no option but to go for broke so the wisest option may be a Hammers win with both teams to score at 11/4 with Bet365.
Recent head to head
West Ham are unbeaten in their last four games against the Canaries, with two draws and two wins. It ended 2-0 at the London Stadium earlier this season (below) and that was their first meeting in three-and-a-half years.
Norwich's last victory over the Hammers was a 3-1 triumph at Carrow Road back in November 2013 and that ended a winless run in the fixture stretching back to 1994.
Players to watch
Michail Antonio has stepped up to the plate for West Ham in recent weeks, netting in the win over Chelsea then the draw with Newcastle. His confidence is sky high so the forward looks a good anytime scorer option at 11/5 with Sportingbet.
Norwich have been firing blanks, with just two goals in their last seven games, but are still creating chances. Emiliano Buendia curled home a cracking finish at Watford and is a tempting 9/1 with Betway to add another here.
Anything else catch the eye?
Four of the last five Norwich games have ended with a one-goal winning margin and that could easily happen again here. A one-goal win for either side pays 11/8 at Betway.
Premier League games have been pretty clean cut behind closed doors but this one could buck the trend with so much at stake for both sides. William Hill are offering 5/2 on each team picking up over one card and that looks a good option.
