NORWAY will be looking to return to winning ways in the Nations League when they square off with Nordic neighbours Sweden at the Ullevaal Stadion on Sunday.
Stale Solbakken's side hit the ground running with a 1-0 success at Serbia before running out 2-1 winners in last weekend's reverse fixture against the Swedes.
However, the Lions failed to build on their strong start to the section as they laboured to a 0-0 draw against lowly Slovenia last time out.
The Norwegians will now be looking to produce the perfect response when they welcome their Scandinavian rivals this weekend.
Sweden have experienced a sticky start in the Nations League so far this summer, having lost two of their opening three pool fixtures, one of which was against Norway.
Janne Andersson's men head into this match off the back of a 1-0 loss at home to Serbia and things won't get any easier for the Blue and Yellow on Sunday.
Outright Betting
After triumphing in Stockholm last Sunday, Norway enter this contest as 19/17 favourites with SBK.
Sweden have lost each of their last two Nations League matches and the bookmakers' odds suggest that sequence will continue here, with an away trading at 14/5 (SBK) while the stalemate can be backed at a best 5/2 (SBK).
Betting Angles
Among the favourites to finish as the Premier League‘s top goalscorer next season, Erling Haaland is an enticing 6/5 to get on the scoresheet on Sunday evening.
Although the soon to be Manchester City forward failed to strike against Slovenia last time out, he had made the net bulge in each of his previous five appearances for his county before that rare blank.
In fact, the prolific Norwegian striker has scored a staggering 18 goals across his 20 appearances for the senior team, two of which were against Sweden last weekend.
It's also worth pointing out that Haaland's breath-taking goal return for his national side includes a pair of hat-tricks.
That does not bode well for a Swedish backline that are without a clean sheet in five of their last seven competitive matches, including three of their last four assignments away from home.
With all this in mind, backing Erling Haaland to breach Sweden's defence for the second time in the space of a week holds obvious appeal at 6/5 with Bet 365.
I'm also going to chance a pair of longshots and have a nibble on both the 11/2 and 22/1 on offer with Bet 365 for the aforementioned Haaland to hit either a brace or a hat-trick.
Haaland has notched up two or more goals in three of his last five appearances for Norway – including a double against Sweden last Sunday – and he's penalties which is always an added incentive when delving into a goalscorer market.
