Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
English Premier League, KO: 15:00 Feb 11, 2023, King Power StadiumBOTH Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur will be bidding to follow up on impressive Premier League victories last time out when the pair lock horns at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The Foxes gave their top-flight survival hopes a much-needed shot in the arm with a well-deserved 4-2 win at Aston Villa last weekend.
That was a timely victory for Brendan Rodgers' team who were without a win in the Premier League since the post World Cup resumption on Boxing Day.
Leicester chief Rodgers will be hoping that success will act as a springboard for further improvement when Tottenham come to town this weekend.
Recording back-to-back victories over both Fulham and Manchester City has seen Antonio Conte's team re-enter the Premier League top-four conversation.
Spurs have closed the gap between themselves and Newcastle to just one point and another victory here would see them leapfrog the Magpies, at least temporarily.
Outright Betting
Leicester City have failed to win any of their last four Premier League home games and the bookmakers expect that trend to continue here, with the Foxes unfancied 12/5 (PaddyPower) shots while the draw is also considered unlikely at 14/5 (UniBet).
Tottenham Hotspur, who have yet to win three top-flight games on the trot this term, arrive in the East Midlands as 11/10 (Bet 365) favourites.
Betting Angles
While Leicester will certainly be buoyed by last weekend's aforementioned win at Aston Villa, I suspect Spurs will have enough quality in their ranks to expose the hosts' defensive weaknesses.
As such, I'm more than happy to take Tottenham talisman Harry Kane to get on the scoresheet on Saturday at 13/10 (Unibet ).
The Spurs sharpshooter became the club's all-time top scorer when he bagged his 200th Premier League strike in last week's 1-0 triumph over Man city, not to mention only Erling Haaland has scored more goals than the England captain in the top-flight this term.
That doesn't bode well for a Leicester backline that hold the third-worst defensive record in the division, with Brendan Rodgers' backline being breached at least twice in five of their six league games since the World Cup break.
It's also worth pointing out that the aforementioned Kane has been the scourge of Leicester in recent years, netting 20 times in 19 games against the Foxes, including both meetings last season as well as September's reverse fixture.
With all this in mind, backing Tottenham's main man to make the net bulge on Saturday makes plenty of appeal at 13/10 (UniBet).
Given that goals are usually on the agenda when either of these teams are involved, I'll also side with Over 2.5 Goals at 4/5 (Bet 365).
The Over 2.5 goal barrier has been breached in 25 of the pair's combined 43 Premier League games this season, highlighting the appeal to support a high-scoring contest at the King Power.
