LEICESTER CITY will be looking to land their first Premier League win of the season when they face Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium on Monday night.
The Foxes are the only team in English top-flight that have yet to record a victory this term and as a result they find themselves rooted to the foot of the table following seven rounds of fixtures.
Brendan Rodgers' side were left bruised before the international break as they were trounced 6-2 by Tottenham, in a game where my anytime goalscorer bet landed.
That latest setback has added to the pressure that is beginning to mount on manager Rodgers and he may have to secure a maiden league win of the season against Nottingham Forest on Monday night if he is to avoid the axe.
Steve Cooper's side have endured a baptism of fire since their return to the top-flight, falling to defeat in five of their seven league games so far, including each of their last four.
The Tricky Trees' inability to hold on when in front has become a recurring theme in recent weeks, with their most recent loss coming against Fulham in a 3-2 thriller at the City Ground a fortnight ago.
Outright Betting
Despite losing each of their last six Premier League matches, Leicester City head into this showdown as heavily-fancied 3/4 (Bet 365) favourites.
As already alluded to, Nottingham Forest have lost each of their last four league games and the bookies' odds suggest that trend will continue, with an away way an unfancied 7/2 (UniBet) while the stalemate can be backed at 11/4 (Betfred).
Betting Angles
There isn't a huge amount of appeal in the 1×2 market here given that this fixture pits the Premier League's bottom-two clubs against each other, but combining both teams to score and over zero Nottingham Forest Cards looks like an appealing alternative at 5/6 (Bet 365).
These two teams clearly have issues keeping clean sheets, with the pair posting just one shutout between them across their 14 collective Premier League contests this season so far.
That being said, both sides have no shortage of firepower, with Leicester only failing to score once this season, while Nottingham Forest have notched in four of their last six outings.
It's also worth pointing out that both teams to score has been a winning bet in all but one of Leicester's seven league games this season, not to mention each of Forest's last two league games have ended with a scoreline of 2-3.
With this in mind, I'm more than happy to back each team to oblige at the King Power on Monday night, but to boost the price, I'll also back the visitors to collect at least once card during this East Midlands derby.
Steve Copper's newly-promoted side have averaged a sizeable 2.86 yellow cards per-game across the opening stretch of the Premier League season, collecting at least one booking in each of their seven outings thus far.
Elsewhere, I'll also head to the anytime goalscorer market and have a speculative punt on Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall get on the scoresheet at 25/1 (BetVictor).
Leicester's set-piece leakage continues to rear its head and Forest skipper Worrall looks worthy of some loose change to capitalise on that aerial vulnerability at a bold price.
