Juventus will take on Lecce on Saturday, 3 January, as Serie A rolls into the new year.
The match is a significant one for both sides as the hosts need three points to keep themselves right in the thick of the title race, while Lecce are scrapping for anything they can get as they look to avoid relegation to Serie B.

How the bookies view it: Juventus are big favourites
Juventus are the big favourites with the bookies coming into this one, with Bet365 pricing a home victory as short as 27/100. Lecce are being given very little chance of taking anything from the match, with an away win priced at 12/1 and a draw priced at 9/2.
Head-to-head: Advantage Juve
Juventus have an excellent recent record against Lecce, and are unbeaten in their last ten matches against Saturday's opponents. Of those ten games, Juve have won seven of them, including a 2-1 triumph in last season's corresponding fixture at the Allianz Stadium.
Players to watch: The Yildiz show to go on
Kenan Yildiz has been a player worth keeping an eye on in recent years, as his natural talent and dribbling ability have made him a youngster with a high ceiling.
This season, the 20-year-old is starting to show signs that this ceiling may well end up being shattered, and there is an argument that he has been the best player in Serie A over the course of the first half of the season.
After 16 league games played, Yildiz is the third-highest goalscorer in Serie A after finding the back of the net on six occasions, and he is also the third-highest assist-maker, after setting up his teammates on four occasions.
Looking to keep Yildiz at bay on Saturday is a Lecce defence that isn't as leaky as you might imagine for a team currently in 16th position in the league table. At the heart of their back four is another highly rated youngster, Tiago Gabriel, who is reportedly emerging as a top target for Juventus.
Predicted line-ups
Juventus will be able to recall Francisco Conceicao to the starting XI after an injury layoff, but Luciano Spaletti is still without Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Gatti and Daniele Rugani. Lecce have their own injury problems, with Mergim Berish and Tete Morete ruled out. In better news, Lameck Banda and Kialondo Gaspar have both returned from AFCON earlier than expected.
Juventus: Di Gregorio – Kalulu, Bremer, Kelly – Locatelli, McKennie, Thuram, Cambiaso, Koopmeiners, Yildiz; Openda
Lecce: Falcone – Veiga, Gaspar, Gabriel, Gallo – Ramadani, Kaba – Pierotti, Helgason, Sottil – Stulic
Anything else catch the eye
Although Juventus are expected to come out on top on Saturday night, we should not expect them to do it in style. Juventus have only won one of their last eight Serie A matches by a margin of two goals or more, while Lecce have only conceded more than two goals in one of their last eight outings. Putting a +1 handicap on Lecce at 11/4 is very tempting.
