Juventus have made a torrid start to their domestic campaign and are still in search of their first Serie A win of the season as they welcome AC Milan to the Allianz Stadium. Both teams have served up thrilling encounters in the past and Sundays clash is expected to follow a similar pattern.
Juventus got some respite from their domestic problems as they claimed a 3-0 victory at Malmo in the UEFA Champions League in midweek. All three goals were scored in the first half through Alex Sandro, Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata.
The Turin club continue the search for their first Serie A win of the season. Massimiliano Allegri’s men suffered a 2-1 defeat to Napoli in their previous fixture despite taking the lead through Alvaro Morata.
Juventus still retain their attacking quality as seen in their performance against Malmo. They have however looked unimpressive in defence where they have failed to keep a clean sheet this season and conceded five goals in three matches.
In contrast to Juventus' troubled start to the season, AC Milan have made a flying start in Serie A. They appear to be kicking on from last term's second place and have won their opening three matches of the season.
AC Milan travel to Turin off the back of a 2-0 victory over Lazio in their previous Serie A fixture with Rafael Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic getting the goals. Stefano Pioli's men stumbled slightly in midweek and were beaten 3-2 by Liverpool in the Champions League despite taking a 2-1 halftime lead.
Although AC Milan have kept two clean sheets in Serie A this season, the Champions League result at Liverpool highlights defensive problems that could be exploited by Juventus.
