JUVENTUS have made an impressive start to 2021 and a win over Inter Milan would fire them right back into the hunt for a 10th successive Serie A title.
It didn't look good at the turn of the year as a humbling 3-0 loss at home to Fiorentina left the champions 10 points off the title pace.
But they showed their class by inflicting a first defeat on leaders AC Milan, justifying my faith in them in a match where two of my main tips came up.
Andrea Pirlo's men remain down in fourth place, below Roma and Inter, but are now only seven points off the summit and have a game in hand on both Milan clubs and two on Roma.
Inter sit just three points off top so will be equally desperate for a victory as they chase a first title since 2010 when Jose Mourinho led them to a glorious treble.
Antonio Conte's men should be leading the way but they have dropped five points in their last two Serie A games, losing to Sampdoria before being held by Roma.
They bounced back with a win over Fiorentina in the Cup in midweek but needed extra time before getting the job done.
How the bookies view it
This is a tough one to call and the bookies make Inter narrow favourites at a best 31/21 with SBK while Juventus are 39/19 with the same firm and the stalemate 45/17.
Recent head to head
Juve have dominated most opponents in recent seasons and it has been no different with Inter. The champions are unbeaten in their last seven against the Nerazzurri, with Inter Milan's last win coming at the San Siro in 2016.
Last season, the Turin giants won 2-1 in Milan thanks to Gonzalo Higuain's late goal (below) then triumphed 2-0 at home in the return.
Players to watch
Romelu Lukaku netted Inter's Cup winner in midweek and the Belgian has 22 goals to his name this season. He's 7/5 with BetVictor for anytime scorer which seems decent.
Paulo Dybala is set to miss out for Juventus so Alvaro Morata should partner Cristiano Ronaldo up front. Morata also scored in the Cup in midweek and is 21/10 with Betway to add another here.
Anything else catch the eye?
Goals have pretty much been guaranteed with Juve this season and over 2.5 strikes has come up in their last six matches. The odds aren't great on a repeat here at a best 13/18 with SBK while both teams to score is even shorter at 4/7 with Bet365.
Over 1.5 first-half goals came up for me when Juventus beat Milan so I'm sticking with it here at 6/4 with Paddy Power.
Both meetings last season saw five cards, including a red for Inter subs keeper Daniele Padelli on the sidelines for dissent, so this could get a bit fiery. Over 4.5 cards is 8/11 at Bet365 but there's more value in backing individual players to be carded, with Inter's Arturo Vidal at 2/1 (Bet365) and Juve's Giorgio Chiellini 3/1 (William Hill).
