Celtic were outclassed on their last Europa League away day and will need a much-improved performance to bounce back against Feyenoord at De Kuip.
Martin O'Neill has steadied the ship domestically since returning as interim boss, steering the Hoops to wins over Falkirk, Rangers, Kilmarnock and St Mirren.
But they were thumped 3-0 by Midtjylland in the midst of those fixtures, with the Danes taking ruthless advantage of O'Neill's injury-hit defence.
Key players Cameron Carter-Vickers and Alistair Johnston remain out long-term so it would be a surprise if Celtic qualified for the knockout stages, with incoming boss Wilfried Nancy facing tricky games against Roma, Bologna and Utrecht after taking the reins from O'Neill.
Feyenoord's Europa League campaign has been even worse than Celtic's so far, with the Dutch giants losing three of their first four matches to sit a point behind the Scottish champions.
They've also lost their last two domestic games, to Go Ahead Eagles and Nijmegen, so boss Robin van Persie will be hoping a win over the Hoops can spark their season back life.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker will come under pressure if he loses for the fifth time in six games so it's a huge 90 minutes for van Persie.
How the bookies view it: Feyenoord to bounce back
Despite their poor recent form, Feyenoord are 7/10 favourites with most firms for a win at home. Celtic are a best 18/5 at BetMGM and the draw pays 16/5 at Bet365.
Head to head: Dutch out to party like it's 1970
Feyenoord famously beat Celtic 2-1 in the 1970 European Cup Final and the Hoops had to wait 53 years for a revenge mission.
They were in the same Champions League group in season 2023/24 and it was honours even, with the Dutch side winning 2-0 at De Kuip before Celtic claimed a 2-1 victory at Parkhead in a dead rubber.
Players to watch: Ueda seeking a spark
Ayase Ueda has scored 13 times for Feyenoord this season but has gone off the boil of late, firing blanks in his last three matches. The Japanese striker will be desperate to get back among the goals and is 11/8 at Paddy Power for anytime scorer.
Celtic have their own Japanese striker looking to find his shooting boots again, with Daizen Maeda a far cry from last season's prolific form. Being played out of position on the right wing hasn't helped but I've a feeling he will start through the middle here and Maeda is a bit overpriced at 4/1 with Betway for a goal.
Probable line-ups
Feyenoord's poor recent run has a lot to do with injuries, with Cyle Larin, Givario Read, In-Beom Hwang, Justin Bijlow, Jordan Bos, Shiloh ’T Zand, Malcolm Jeng, Jakub Moder, Thomas Beelen and Gernot Trauner all sidelined.
Celtic have a long injury list too, with Carter-Vickers and Johnston joined in the treatment room by Jota, Marcelo Saracchi, Kelechi Iheanacho, James Forrest and Callum Osmand.
Feyenoord: Wellenreuther, Watanabe, Smal, Ahmedhodzic, Nieuwkoop, Timber, G Borges, Valente, Ueda, Steijn, Hadj Moussa
Celtic: Schmeichel, Ralston, Trusty, Scales, Tierney, McGregor, Engels, McCowan, Nygren, Tounetki, Maeda.
Anything else catch the eye?
Feyenoord's form is worse than Celtic's but their defeats in Europe have come against tough opponents in the shape of Braga, Aston Villa and Stuttgart.
Celtic were terrible in their 1-0 win over St Mirren on Saturday so I fancy Feyenoord at -1 in the handicap here, which pays 9/5 at William Hill.
The Dutch side should have most of the possession and pressure so I like the 6/5 on offer at Bet365 for Celtic to pick up the most cards.
