nfl betting tips

We're into Week 14 of the NFL season, and for those of you playing in fantasy football leagues this year, it is probably the final week of the regular season for you.

Good luck to those of you heading into the playoffs next week, and fingers crossed if you need the win this week, with the Ravens, Texans, Colts, Broncos, Patriots, and Commanders sharing the last bye week of the year.

The Seahawks at the Cardinals have the most relevance on the slate tonight in a tight NFC West. The Seahawks are currently just a game ahead and holding the tie-breaker, having beaten the Cardinals just a couple of weeks ago. For anyone looking to up the ante, checking out the best NFL betting sites could be the move to find the best odds and bonuses for this crucial matchup. Meanwhile, the Rams and Bills get the TV slot in the UK, though, and it should be a fun game. Both offences are capable of putting up points, and the probable MVP will be involved in that match.

NFL Betting tips – week 14 picks: Best Spread – Miami Dolphins -6 vs NY Jets

I feel like I've been picking on the Jets a lot this year, but there's a good reason for it: they're a mess. They brought in Aaron Rodgers, gave him the keys to the franchise and he's run it into the ground with sub-par play and demanding the removal of coaches he doesn't like. They at least had a good defense to start the season but then fired Robert Salah and that area has seen a marked decrease in productivity ever since, essentially neither side of the ball is working for them and I don't think that changes this weekend.

The Miami Dolphins, on the other hand, are still in with a small chance of making the playoffs in the AFC as they try and hunt down the Denver Broncos, who sit three wins ahead of them. It's implausible, but it's not over until it's over, and they'll believe they have a chance.

They aren't the offence we've come to expect, but back home in the warmth, playing a team with just three wins on the season is a prime spot for them to rack up some points and win by a good margin. De'Von Achane has played well all year, Jaylen Waddle has looked good recently, Tyreek Hill can break tackles and take it to the house, and they've realised they've got a big, reliable tight end in Jonnu Smith, who's been huge for them over the last month of the season. I think they win by at least a touchdown.

NFL Betting tips – week 14 picks: Best Total – Jaguars v Titans o40

I'm looking at a game that there probably won't be a huge amount of eyes on for my total this week and while there's nothing on the line for these two teams I do think it could be a chaotic game with interceptions and defensive scores from both teams as we get Will Levis vs Mac Jones in a barn-burner!

The Titans have been moving the ball well with Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhene, who has a remarkable eight scores from just 20 receptions this year and a third of his 365 yards coming on one catch. He manages to get free when it counts and I wouldn't be shocked to see him go in again against a poor Jaguars defense.

The Jags, on the other side, have put Trevor Lawrence on IR, so they are starting Mac Jones this week, which makes them less explosive but does increase errors, which may help with the total as I'm convinced there will be turnovers from both teams. I'm hoping for chaos and I think I'll get it.

I do like the Bengals vs Cowboys o49.5, but that's on Monday Night in the Simpsons Bowl. I don't think they can make that total high enough to stop me from going over.

NFL Betting tips – week 14 picks: Best TD Scorer – David Njoku – 11/4

I'm plumping for the odds on David Njoku for the Cleveland Browns this week. The tight end has looked great since Jameis Winston came into the team. The Browns' offence has taken off, and they've become remarkably watchable over the last month or two, including in the snow-affected game where they beat this Steelers team just a few weeks ago.

Njoku had 17 targets in their loss against the Broncos last weekend, finishing with two TDs; while I'm not expecting that kind of workload here, he is a big-bodied target when they get close to the goal line, and at nearly 3/1, I'm happy to take a shot on him this weekend.

NFL tips – week 14 picks: Best Player Prop – Bucky Irving o66.5 rush yards

The last three weeks of the season have seen the Buccaneers make a shift away from their three-headed backfield to be leaning into impressive rookie Bucky Irving, who not only has scored in three games in a row now but has also racked up 73, 88 and 152 yards in the same period having dominated snaps at the running back position.

This week, he gets to play a Raiders team who are nearly a touchdown underdog, meaning that the Bucs should be able to lean on their run game to get things done here as they look to take a step toward the NFC South title with the Falcons stumbling in recent weeks.
