IF you were on a French fancy you got more of a sunken souffle as they struggled to see off Australia.
It was a bit of a sweet and sour display from France who must do better if they're to see off Peru.
The high point was Antoine Griezmann scoring even if it was from a jammy penalty and I'm on the Atletico Madrid striker to hit the target again.
He is 7-5 at Paddy Power to net at any time and 4-1 with Betfred to score first.
France are often slow starters so I expect them to improve and they're 11-20 at McBookie to pick up the points.
Peru surprisingly left out star striker Paolo Guerrero against Denmark and he must have been frustrated as he watched team-mates miss a succession of chances and a penalty in a 1-0 defeat.
There's a decent chance of Peru hitting the target and both to score pays 3-1 at Paddy Power while France and btts is 14-5 with McBookie.
Best Bet
- Griezmann to score (4pm)
The plucky Aussies need something from Denmark but may struggle again in a low scorer. Consider under 2.5 goals at 4-7 with McBookie and Christian Eriksen to score at 13-5 with Paddy Power.
Australia were seriously unlucky in the opener with a dubious VAR-awarded penalty proving the difference and while they lack quality they have plenty of spirit.
Denmark profited from Peru's penalty miss and a superb display by Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel and they should just about edge the win.
Best Bet
- Eriksen to score (1pm)
Today's other game should be a cracker between Argentina and Croatia with the South Americans still reeling after being held 1-1 by Iceland.
The Croats are in a good place after a 2-0 defeat of Nigeria and could avoid defeat – Croatia draw no bet is 2-1 at Marathonbet.
Argentina weren't rated by many before the start of the tournament and were poor against Iceland with Lionel Messi even missing a penalty.
He is 6-5 with McBookie to score and 10-3 at McBookie to score but after four fails from seven surely he won't be put on the spot. Argentina are 14-1 at bet365 to miss one.
Best Bet
- Croatia draw no bet (7pm)

@mrfixitstips – Morning Paul, any word from admin on the problem with the page and the MRFIXITSTIPS banner covering half the screen? Judging from my comment on the weekend, many people are having the same problem.
Between the banner covering the top half of the screen and your keyboard covering the bottom, you only have about a 1cm window to see the post your typing which is very frustrating.
Thanks
I can send screenshots of the issue if it helps. Let me know which email address to use if so.
i am also same issue
Thanks for flagging this up @boomshackle, @alex_mufc83. We’ve had a look and although we can’t test on every device we’ve removed the World Cup widget which was being displayed on the sidebar. It appears to have made an improvement to the devices we can test on, but we’re not sure if this was / is the cause of the issue you’ve been having.
Please can you let us know if things are better for you now. If not, please let us know which device (iPhone, Samsung, Macbook, iPad, PC Laptop etc) you’re using. Thanks.
@admin this seems to have done the trick it’s working perfectly at my end now. Cheers ??

Having the same issue, not getting much time to post recently but when have been on the website is all over the place!
MINT…
Cheers Mint
Seems to affecting lots of people, hopefully it’s being looked into. Paul said his was fine so is perhaps unaware of how difficult the website has become to use.
Spoke to admin about it yesterday and neither of us are having any problems.
Could you email me a screen grab showing the problem and I’ll pass to admin.

Bet365 gave me a 5 quid free bet last night so used it on the 9.10? Chelmsford (only a pot luck guess as it was the next race) choosing the winner at 16-1. Given the bank a boost as my world cup betting overall total is +2.66pts (after doubling Belgium to win to nil and bully’s top of over 4.5 fh corners in the England game).
Not going to have a chance to watch the first two matches today so gone for a long odds very small stakes treble:
Denmark draw 1-1
France draw 2-2
Argentina draw 1-1
0.1pts pays around 89 points (890-1 ish).
Was going to swap Argentina score to 2-2 for 2300-1 ish but stuck with the above.
Good luck all.
One in, an unlikely two to go!.
Yesterday was poor for pens… 0 out of 3… Portugal game a joke VAR not being used but can’t always have luck on your side. Running total since started has taken a bash, 9 pens in 17 games. Onwards….
Denmark v Australia
Penalty in match
21/10 (PP)
France v Peru
Penalty in match
2/1 (PP)
Argentina v Croatia
Penalty in match
9/4 (PP)
Eriksen 2+ shots on gl/Rogic 1 shot on gl 4/1
A goal & 4+ corners each half 4/1
Goal & 4 corners on 10 mins ?
Didn’t take Eriksen long – nice tipping Mr F cheers!!
well done Mr F !!!
Cracking stuff Mr F ?
Taking on a game that sits a few thousand miles West of Russia but a million miles away in terms of the glitz and glamour surrounding the World Cup…
ÁLAFOSS VS. KÓNGARNIR (2100):
OK, so Alafoss may not be world beaters and are hardly setting the 4 Deild on fire but it’s all about the quality of opposition here –
well, when I say quality…
Rather than King Kong it’s more a case of Donkey Kong when it comes to perhaps the poorest form Icelandic team out there; good old Kongarnir have conceded the following goals in successeesive matches: 6-5-6-2-18-6-6-2-13-7-19-14…I jest not.
The hosts may not inflict that level of damage on their opponents so I’m swerving the more obvious goal markets in favour of the following:
ALAFOSS HIGHEST SCORING HALF = 2ND…10/11
???
Best of luck ?
(Bet365)
Cheers. Now for Griezmann.
First one in the bag, cheers Yussuf lad
Denmark v Australia
Penalty in match

**WON** ✅
Can see Rogic being subbed around the hr mark so needing a shot on goal early in the 2nd half
My friend and landlady has a bet on Messi 16 shots on target in the world cup – does anyone know where I can pick up an on going total ?
My friend and landlady has a bet on Messi 16 shots on target in the world cup – does anyone know where I can pick up an on going total ?
That’s the boy, thanks Mr F [ it’s 3 by the way ]
Ok, won’t be winning her bet now though.
Might have a punt on a red card in the second half…
Some tackles flying in, the only thing that puts me off is refs have been lenient so far.
This WC has been absolutely pish so far bar 1 game
The England game right?
??
Admin – phone glitch sorted now on Android ?
That’s good.
what price were Argentina not to qualify from their group? It could have been backed when you consider Messi retired for a short period of time, only to come back a couple of months later as Argentina looked unlikely to qualify.
It’s fine to say it could have been backed but most people expected them to at least get through the group, maybe behind Croatia.

Don’t cry for me Argentina ……..
Argentina had 3 different coaches during qualifying, so all the warning signs were there.
Team full of individuals, don’t play as a team = no link up play = no creativity
Never fancied them at the start but been worse than expected.
Tried to talk a few people out of backing them on the outrights before the tournament.
7-0 in Iceland but only 3 shgs as opposed to the 4 fhgs ?
