SCOTTISH football is much maligned but hopefully this week's European results showed it's not as bad as some people think.
Rangers and Hibs both notched Europa League wins to add to Celtic's Champions League success while Aberdeen played well to hold Burnley in the Battle of Britain clash.
The Dons are likely to be heading out but will put up a fight at Turf Moor and the main difference between Scottish and English football is the TV billions paid out to clubs.
I just put up a double last night but it was a winning one at 11-5 thanks to The New Saints and btts at Hibs v Asteras. That's 22 goals in Hibs' three Euro ties this season and the promise of plenty more in Greece next week.
Tonight sees the start of some smaller European leagues but none I focus on. I've finished writing Saturday's column for the Daily Record but as Greg has filed French Ligue 2 tips that's what I'm going with.

Have to agree with Mr F here. Burnley at home will be a lot tougher.
Was at the game last night and Burnley were poor. Never really troubled Aberdeen at all. For a team that cost over £50m I wasn’t impressed at all. Yes it will be tougher at Turf Moor but we’ve given ourselves a chance.
By all accounts Aberdeen did well but remember Burnley are a bit behind in terms of prep and can only get better.
Scottish teams are fully aware how difficult it is to get ready for such an early start.
