Another week on the ATP Tour starts, and we have some interesting matches to get us underway. Today’s tennis betting tips will feature more indoor tennis, with two ATP 500 events in Vienna and Basel. Let’s take a look at what kind of value we found for you this Monday.
Best tennis tips and predictions today
We’re mostly going to be focusing on Vienna because we like the matchups there. The first one will be a match between Matteo Berrettini and Marton Fucsovics, where we’re betting on the over. The other match will be between Alexander Zverev and Josef Joel Schwarzler, where we’re predicting it will end quickly.
Fucsovics vs Berrettini – over 22.5 games @ 5/6
This is a rather straightforward bet because we’re backing the over. Why? It’s very simple. It’s an indoor match, which is generally close. Vienna doesn’t play the quickest, but these are very good players who should be able to keep their serves without too many problems.
Fucsovics is a fantastic indoor player with lots of experience, and he should be able to hold his own against Berrettini. Berrettini has a massive serve, and that alone makes it hard to break him.
The matchup so far has been relatively close. The most recent meeting between the two happened earlier this year at Wimbledon. Berrettini won that match in four sets, and some of those were rather close.
The opening set was a tiebreak, and if it happens once more, we only need a 6-4 set for this to hit. We think it’s very likely due to the conditions and simply the fact that neither are in superb form.
The only indoor match they’ve played was a three-setter too, so it seems likely that might happen as well.
Zverev vs Schwaerzler – under 19.5 games @ 5/6
This is another rather one dimensional prediction, but one we expect to hit with little issue. We’re backing Zverev to break down a younger opponent who has never played someone like him. The Austrian is playing at home and is one of the most promising young players, but he is very streaky.
Having watched him a couple of times this year, it’s quite clear that his game is all over the place. He makes a lot of mistakes, goes for shots that make no sense, and he’s just a raw tennis player.
It’s a perfect matchup for the human wall of Zverev to handle easily. We don’t think he will completely destroy him, because Zverev can be rather timid at times. But with the way he’s been stepping into the court this year and the way his opponent plays, a straightforward win is very likely.
