Monday’s Football Tips: Free-scoring Brondby should have too much firepower for Vejle in Denmark’s top flight

AFTER a busy weekend of fixtures, it's slimmer pickings for punters today with a couple of games in Scandinavia taking top billing.  

Last year's runners-up Brondby are back in action in Denmark's top flight and will be desperate for three points against Vejle after being held to a draw in their opener.

That clash with Viborg was a thriller as the sides battled out a 3-3 stalemate, with three of the goals coming in added-time.

Another six goals were scored in Brondby's next game but this time they went all to Jesper Sorensen's men as they battered Kosovan side Llapi 6-0 in Conference League qualifying.

That will boost the confidence for their return to domestic action and Brondby will be out to avoid falling further off the pace after last week's stumble.

They should get the win against a Vejle side who are propping up the table after becoming the only side to end the first weekend without a point.

It looked like they had sealed a draw when German Onugkha grabbed his second of the game to make it 2-2 with Randers but Vejle then conceded a last-gasp goal to crash to defeat.

Brondby v Vejle Top Betting Tips

With Brondy's two games so far both producing six goals and another five scored in Vejle's opener, this should be an entertaining game. The bookies certainly think goals are guaranteed as Betfred price over 2.5 strikes at just 4/7, with BTTS equally short at 8/11.

Combining a Brondby win with over 2.5 strikes boosts the odds to evens and that might be the best shout.

Emmanuel Yeboah scored a double for Brondby last weekend and the Ghanaian will fancy his chances again today. The youngster is 6/4 for anytime scorer and that looks decent value against a team who conceded three times at home last weekend.

AIK Solna v GAIS Top Tips

AIK Solna continue to perch perilously close to the drop zone in Sweden's top flight so they will be out to bank three much-needed points when they host GAIS tonight.

Although AIK sit in 11th place, they're only three points ahead of Norrkoping, who currently occupy the relegation play-off slot.

But in a tight bottom half of the table, a win can fire you up the standings and victory tonight would leave AIK in eight spot, just two points behind GAIS.

By a strange quirk, these sides play each other just a week after facing off in another league fixture. GAIS won that match 2-0 at home and it ended a run of three games without a win.

AIK have now lost three of their last four so this is a tough one to call with neither side in particularly good form.

BTTS has failed to land in the last three meetings so betting against that could pay off here at 11/10. The half-time draw also appeals and that pays 13/10.
