Monday’s Football Tips: France and star man Mbappe looking to fire out Euro 2024 warning in their opener with Austria

MOST of the big guns have come out firing at Euro 2024 and France will want to do the same when they kick off against Austria tonight.

The likes of Germany, Spain, England and the Dutch have all recorded wins in their group openers and the French are heavy favourites to respond in kind.

Bet365 price Les Bleus at just 11/20 tonight and they should have too much for the Austrians if the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann hit their stride.

But Ralf Rangnick has been doing an excellent job with the Austrians and they head into the Euros off the back of a seven-game unbeaten run that has seen them defeat Germany 2-0 and dish out a 6-1 thrashing to Turkey.

That suggests the Austrians could land a few blows tonight if Didier Deschamps' men show any complacency.

Austria vs France Top Betting Tips

The Austrians have scored in their last 17 outings, although the last blank they drew came against the French in the Nations League back in 2022.

Provided Rangnick doesn't try to park the bus we should see goals tonight and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays 6/5.

There's also good value in backing Austrian players to have a shot on target, with everyone except Marco Arnautovic and Michael Gregoritsch at odds-against. Marcel Sabitzer is always a threat from midfield and he's 5/4 in that market.

French talisman Mbappe was pretty much unstoppable at the World Cup and always seems to shine in big international tournaments. He's evens for a goal tonight and that looks good value too.

Belgium vs Slovakia Top Tips

Belgium look a team revived under Domenico Tedesco and breezed through qualifying unbeaten. They've also gone four without defeat in their warm-up games, including a 2-2 draw at Wembley, so should have too much class for Slovakia in their Euro 2024 opener.

Bet365 make the Belgians 12/25 hot favourites but if you back them to be winning at half-time and full-time the odds increase to 13/10.

The Slovaks finished their preparations by spanking Wales 4-0 but have found it tougher against top-class opposition. They lost at home to Austria in another warm-up and Portugal beat them twice in the qualifiers so it's hard to see them springing a shock.

The Belgians have kept clean sheets in five of their last six so there could also be some value in a win to nil at 9/4.

David Hancko should start in defence for the Slovaks and looks worth a punt at 11/10 just to commit a foul.

Romania vs Ukraine Top Tips

The other Group E game sees Romania take on Ukraine and both teams will be targeting a win that could go a long way to firing them into the last 16.

The Ukrainians look to have a stronger side and they managed to hold Germany to a draw in one of their warm-up games. Bet365 price them at 19/20 to get off the mark with a win and that looks good value.

Few strikers head into the Euros in better form than Ukraine's Artem Dovbyk. He scored 10 times in his last nine games for Girona in La Liga and has also netted in three of his last five international outings.

The towering striker is 15/8 at Bet365 for anytime scorer and backing him to either score or assist also looks great value at 21/20.

For a long-odds option, Romanian stopper Radu Dragusin is 11/2 to be carded, which looks overpriced for a defender.
