Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

Spartans put down a real marker in League Two last week with a statement win over big-spending East Kilbride.

And they look a solid bet at 21/20 with McBookie.com to keep up their good work by winning at Forfar Athletic.

The capital side stormed six points clear at the top of the league with a 2-1 win against EK – the exact same score they beat them by in the Scottish Cup the previous week.

It was Spartans' third win in a row by that 2-1 scoreline. The Ainslie Park side are motoring along nicely thanks to ten goals in all competitions so far this season from Mark Stowe.

But what's really impressive about them is that they have done most of their good work away from Edinburgh. They have played five away games in the league and won them all.

Forfar look like they could be in for another slog for survival and last week's defeat at Stranraer was a hammer blow for them.

Spartans can maintain their promotion charge at Station Park.

Raith Rovers have turned the corner and get the job done at McBookie.com's 5/6 at Queen's Park.

Barry Robson's side were struggling after three league defeats in a row in the Championship.

But they chalked up an impressive win over in-form Partick Thistle the other week and should have beaten Morton last week before they conceded an injury-time leveller.

They face a Spiders side in freefall and look to be in a straight battle with Airdrie to avoid automatic relegation.

Last week's 5-0 pummeling at Partick took their recent form to one goals scored in their last six games.

They haven't won at their Lesser Hampden home since the start of this year and will have to do without key defender Charlie Fox, who suffered a serious knee injury last week.

Their last home game against Ayr United saw them somehow cling onto a goalless draw despite playing with ten men for 81 minutes and conceding 17 corners in the match!

And the Kirkcaldy men can add to the gloom.

Alloa can win at Montrose and add to the misery for the hosts.

The Gable Endies lost last week for the third game in a row and they've failed to score during that run too.

Alarmingly for Stewart Petrie's side, they have also lost seven goals in their last two games at their Links Park home.

Alloa are unbeaten in five in all competitions and look value at 23/20 with McBookie.com.
