Mark Walker's Scottish Tips

Ayr United are doing everything they can to push Falkirk all the way in the Championship and they can justify favouritism by winning at struggling Morton.

Scott Brown's side must have taken huge momentum from their midweek outing at a place he's had a fair amount of success at – Hampden Park.

His Ayr side were two goals down at Scottish Cup shock troops Queen's Park until they mounted a superb comeback to win 3-2.

The signing of Curtis Main already looks like a masterstroke and he's scoring goals either as a starter or as an impact sub.

With George Oakley and Jay Henderson both on form too, Ayr should be confident of hauling Falkirk in as they aim for their first taste of top flight football since 1978

Morton have been hit with a few injuries to key players and have now lost three in a row. They are in a slump at the wrong time of the season. And United look a solid bet at McBookie.com's 10/11 to get the win at Cappielow.

Cove Rangers have a must-win game at home to Queen of the South and Paul Hartley's men can get it.

The Aberdeen side are usually very good at home and have won five of their last six games at the Balmoral Stadium.

They should have been out of sight at Alloa last week only to concede two late goals to lose.

Cove are now eight points behind League One leaders Arbroath albeit with a game in hand, but a win is imperative.

Queen of the South must have thought they had turned a corner by winning at Montrose the other week, but they are far too inconsistent and went down to another defeat last week at home to Kelty Hearts. The 20/21 with McBookie.com seems a fair shout for a home win.

Hamilton Accies could just about hammer the final nail into Airdrie's Championship relegation with a win in Lanarkshire at 13/8 with McBookie.com.

Accies have picked up recently with a win against Dunfermline and they were seconds away from beating leaders Falkirk last week until they conceded an injury time leveller.

They've already won 4-0 at Airdrie this season and the Diamonds' recent revival has petered out after a couple of recent heavy defeats.

They've conceded far too many goals this season and Hamilton can get the win to boost their chances of avoiding the relegation play-off.
