Neither of Rizzel's selections got the job done on Tuesday with Mistymal going the closest of the two.
Special Acceptance was rather disappointing for favourite backers, beaten by around 12L by The Wolf who cantered to victory under jockey Sean Bowen with the minimum of fuss. Mistymal looked a likely winner as they entered the business end but he was swallowed up by the eventual winner who ultimately outstayed him as they battled to the line.
Cairnzy's Tips
Fourofakind 9/4 – Ayr 2.50
Carrying top weight is never ideal, but I think Lizzie Quinlan's Fourofakind has it in the locker to do just that.
Previously trained by Harry Derham, Fourofakind changed hands to Lizzie Quinlan back in July of this year and has been in good form since changing stables, recording two wins from five outings for his new yard.
My selection ran an encouraging race last time out at Carlisle in a Class 2 handicap hurdle, finishing three and a half lengths back in fourth. Fourofakind led two from home in that contest but couldn't find that extra gear when he needed it, and he weakened in the final few hundred yards. That particular contest was significantly stronger than what he faces in this, and a repeat performance would see him hard to beat.
Fourofakind tends to be ridden quite prominently during his races and with no forecast pace on paper I fully expect jockey Conor Rabbit to use similar tactics on him during this race. Notably, Conor Rabbit has been onboard my selection in both of his wins this year and his 5lb claim is another positive going into this contest.

I’m not having the current favourites form, he is shipping from Beltarra Park which isn’t a good marker for much.
