Rizzel managed to land a 7/1 winner on Tuesday's Lucky 15 which would've turned into a Patent due to a NR. Ashariba put the good form in the book to the test and ran out a small-margin winner, with the well-backed favourite back in fifth.
As usual, let us know in the comment section who you fancy for Wednesday's racing!
Cairnzy's Tips
Highway Grey 7/2 – Pontefract 2.10
Highway Grey was a recent winning tip for me on the main thread and I think he's worth chancing to follow up in this contest under a 4lb penalty. Although up 4lb, he's also down into a class 6 from a class 4 and can win again at the same track he won over only 10 days ago.
Stone Circle 7/2 – Yarmouth 7.40
Stone Circle looks to have solid claims in this contest and he can land his first win of the season having slipped to a dangerous mark. Stone Circle returned with an encouraging reappearance run at this course in April when finishing half a length back in third behind Kuwait City. After a couple of disappointing runs in the last two months, the handicapper has now dropped him to a mark of 69 which makes him well handicapped given he's won of a mark of 74 in the past.
Rizzel's Tips
Night On Earth 15/8 – Brighton 2.25
Despite getting on in age, Night On Earth is proving to be a hardy sprinter who can operate at Class 4's and above with a good amount of respect. He is an extremely quick horse and will make the running in this race, and I think this track will suit the positive tactics he loves so much.
He is carrying 10st, but this looks to be an easier race than what he has been contesting in recent times and given his speed, I think when they start to roll downhill, the others in behind will be playing catchup and might not be able to get to him. The extra half-furlong is a slight concern, but the track should allow him to see the trip out just fine. Billy Loughnane is in the saddle and he is a tremendous young rider who has a great riding IQ.
Angle Land 2/1 – Yarmouth 7.40
Robert Cowell's 5-year-old sprinter Angle Land has been in good form for the majority of this season, but two of his last three runs seems to show that he is starting to hit top gear and regaining some of that better quality of form he showed a couple of years ago.
He is a C&D winner and won at this track late in June when carrying 10st 2lbs, so he has already proven he can carry a big weight around so the 9st 10lbs shouldn't be a problem for him today. Last time out he bumped into one at Wolverhampton, once again shouldering a huge weight, and he manages to run off the same mark today, which puts him 3lb ahead of the handicapper. That performance last week produced an RPR of 83 which is 11lbs better off than his mark, and a repeat performance should see him tough to beat.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
Two horses are from the same race so no good for a Lucky 15 bet
Apologies to folk that follow the L15 thread. I am to blame for this one…
Didn’t even realise Rizz had already tipped a horse in the same race.
Advise = NO BET
That’s what lack of sleep does to a man ??
