An annoying day yesterday, three pleasingly placed but we were let down by one with a solid enough profile, annoying two which could've easily been thrown in placed but it's an improvement from the weekend and we'll hope to continue that today.

I have had absolutely no time given real world commitments and as such I have stuck with short prices, I'll hope they can give us some sort of return and be back Wednesday with a bit more time.

Attacanter Racing Tips

Thursday's Child 4/1 four places – 19.30 Southwell

This horse is very lightly raced but still has shown enough to be thrown in today, she won on debut at Newcastle on the AW over 7f before going in again at Pontefract. Her 4th on handicap debut in a big field at York is pleasing off 84, she was behind some nice types, noticeable two horses who have featured in my articles, Blue Prince and our 16/1 Ayr Bronze Cup winner Diligent Resdev.

Tried in a Class 2 after that, she didn't really cut it before bombing again at Newmarket. A return to form ensued last time at Carlisle when 2nd effectively rated 77, the third won immediately after.

Now Billy Garrity is unable to claim, the horse comes into this rated 5lbs higher in what looks like quite a tricky contest. I would probably find something more solid but there's still scope to improve and off what she's showed, she can feature with four places on offer.

First Dynasty 4/1 – 18.00 Southwell

I saw Billy Loughnane's runner for Sam England when studying the other night and kicked myself when it won at a nice price. I am unfortunately very tight for time this evening and despite missing a few points in value, I am going to simply chuck this one in hope they lined up a couple.

First Dynasty was a C&D 3rd of 14 two starts back at the end of July, he comes here just 2lbs higher now with one of the stand out jockey's of the previous 18 months on board. He started his career with David Simcock, winning on handicap debut on the AW over 2f further.

A very long run of bad form sees him 16lbs below that, the form doesn't overly stack up but at this level, it doesn't really need to, we know many aren't always trying and we'll include him given my real life commitments this evening.

Kilteel 10/3 four places – 14.40 Brighton

I make no apologies for this selection, it is rather lazy but there have been night's I've put hours into an article with very little rewards, so perhaps some haste isn't a bad thing.

The trainer is in a decent bit of form and although most of Jack's winners for him have been on the AW, he has at least been successful for him and given we are throwing out some shorties today, I thought the top-weight Kilteel was just about worthy of inclusion.

Brighton is a bit of a specialist track so it isn't ideal to back a 2yo after a handicap debut win from the AW, now up 4lbs but you'd suspect she'll come her all guns blazing and likely to be better than a 56 rated horse.

With an extra place and those behind her in the market quite a big price, at a glance her place claims seems quite solid. Jack has one ridden one winner here which isn't great whilst the trainer has only had 4 winners in 4 years, all I can say is it's lucky we're betting responsibly.

Getupearly 7/2 – 16.35 Huntingdon

It would be pretty foolish to include an outsider so I'm going to conclude the bet with this one at a short enough price having previously considered Sassified from the same yard who was badly hampered last time, now lurking 7lbs below his last win.

The reason for chancing this horse, despite finishing a 9 length 2nd last time is the down to what beat it, a horse who just completed a hattrick. We can hope he isn't running into one in such a contest despite a few likeable combo's in this – the recently noted Twiston-Davies yard whilst Sean Bowen does very well for this trainer, their runner She Has Notions hasn't been looked at but they'll come under the microscope as the season progresses.

The horse has only ran in a Chase 3 times, placing on it's last two tries, he's no strange to this distance and is entitled to be in the thick of things once again. The 4th and 5th from his 3rd at Warwick have both won whilst despite well beaten last time, the 3rd was more than 8 lengths back.

I'm not overly proud of the offerings today but I've rambled on long enough so I'll shut up and hope a few can go close having struggled for any outright winners so far this month.

*Advised Bet – Eachway L15*

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
