Rizz hit the crossbar on Saturday with Hitman finishing second behind Djelo and King William Rufus missing out on the placings by one at an attractive price. Saturday racing is tough as we all know but we go again on Sunday.

Thedevilscoachman 2/1 – Navan 2.40
There are three meetings on offer for punters on Sunday throughout the UK and Ireland, but if I'm honest, very little caught my eye. There are some nice races over at Exeter, with two decent Class One on offer, however, the punting angle into them is tough with both contests having two relatively short favourites.
With that said, I decided to snoop through the jumps card at Navan, and Thedevilscoachman in the 2.40 ticked many boxes for me as a potentially good bet on Sunday.
At the prices, I was initially tempted by Henry De Bromheads Gold Cup-winning veteran Minello Indo, but on the back of a layoff over a trip too short I opted to avoid this time around. My eye was drawn to Thedevilscoachman who arrives here on the back of an encouraging seasonal reappearance last month which saw Noel Meades charge finish just over 1L behind Declan Queally's improving sort in Rocky's Diamond. The form of that second looks one of the best on offer with Rocky's Diamond now rated 149 on the back of that victory and still looks like a horse who has further progress in the tank. The reopposing Maxum also contested in that contest and was well held by my selection on that occasion and I see no reason to believe that Gordon Elliots runner can reverse the form this time around. From the remainder, Meet and Greet would have a chance if building on his victory at Limerick over the Christmas period while Farren Glory would need to brush up on his jumping to be competitive in this race.
