Unfortunately, I didn't manage to catch yesterday's racing with a great view. I was out in the car and the connection was horrendous so I didn't quite see what happened in the Weveallbeencaught race, but it looked like he was towards the rear and wasn't making any inroads. Lookaway didn't get the lead I was hoping for, and the winner looked in a league of his own.

Bob Bob Ricard 11/1 EW – Cheltenham 1.45
Other than the Greatwood, the Cheltenham card doesn't look particularly great. This novice handicap chase looks more interesting on paper than what it actually is, and I think it won't take much winning if Bob Bob Ricard can put in a sound round of jumping, which he didn't quite manage at this track last time out.
Guard Your Dreams is at the top of the weights and he was a winner for me earlier this season when winning on chasing debut. I don't think he's on a particularly great handicap mark and his jumping isn't 100% assured around this venue. Primoz is a hype horse and was a hype horse last year when he made a nice start to live over hurdles for Lucinda Russell. He won on his seasonal return and chasing debut beating a decent horse into second spot, but he has been given a big hike in the weights and I'm not totally convinced he's that great.
I thought Bob Bob Ricard was worth another try as he had plenty of ability, but he didn't jump great last time at Cheltenham early into the race when I tipped him up and was eventually inconvenienced by a faller when still in with a decent chance of hitting the frame. It's interesting that connections are willing to come back to this track given how he jumped, so they must feel like he handles the fences, and the run last time out was a blip. I believe he is on a good mark and if he's still in with a chance turning for home, like he was last time out then this could be very interesting.
He was 2/2 over fences prior to his run at Cheltenham and the form looks solid with the runner-up winning with a fair bit up his sleeve last time out. He looks a solid price against horses who might not appreciate the ground, lacks fitness or has never been over fences.
