A couple of Rizzels selections ran well in defeat yesterday, but ultimately it was a below-par day at the office.

The weather forecast will play its part on racing tomorrow, and some meetings are likely to be canceled. From reading online, Sandown is the most likely meeting to go ahead and that's where I've gone hunting for a winner.

Fine Casting 5/1 – Sandown 1.15

I put Fine Casting up as a selection last month and despite letting me down on the day I've opted to give him another chance in this contest.

Although finishing second last time out at Lingfield, I thought there was plenty to like about Fine Castings' performance that day. My selection went down by only 1L to a young and upcoming from the Henderson stable and at one point looked like he was going to hold on before James Bowen eased the eventual winner into contention from a cool ride from off the pace.

The eventual winner of that Lingfield contest ( Kado De Joie ) looks well ahead of his mark and I think a repeat performance from Fine Casting could see him go very close in this contest. Of course, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of my selection taking a step forward for only his third race of this jumps season. Fine Casting in his pomp was hurdling in around a mark in the low 130s so he remains a well handicapped animal here on a mark of 119.

Eldorado Allen 4/1 – Sandown 3.00

My last selection of the day comes in a veteran's handicap chase over 3m, a sort of race that Rizz enjoys to get involved in. I haven't spoken to him regarding this race as I've done my study quite late on but hopefully he agrees with my selection!

I think Joe Tizzards Eldorado Allen is a good bet in this contest, and 4/1 seems a reasonable enough price to get involved in. I thought there was plenty of positives to take from my selections previous run at Cheltenham which saw him finish third on the day with the reopposing Copperhead in second. My selection did stay on strongly after the last to nick third spot but the trip of 2m4f was most certainly on the shorter side of things for Eldorado Allen and he should appreciate this return to 3m.

Sam Brown has shown that even at the grand old age of 13 that he still has some fire in the belly yet, and he's an interesting contender with a 10lb claimer on board. Joe Tizzards other runner Copperhead is the form horse of the race with recent figures of 11122 making him a big danger to all, with this step up in trip surely more a positive than negative.

    Khrisma 12-05 sandown 11-8 bet365.

If this jumps only reasonably well she should be more like 8-15 and not 11-8.
Been more than competitive in french graded arab races and nh bumpers.
Nicky Henderson and JP McManus have her earmarked for the mates novice at the festival for which she is about 12-1 which is short enough for a horse with no hurdling experience.
If she wins we’ll expect that 12-1 to drop radically

    Ostrava du berlais 12-40 sandown 9-4 bet365
Improved since wind surgery and the switch to fences and gets weight off the others with the jump in class

Just the flat rubbish today which is as bent/shit as grey hound racing ! They are already plotting now how they will send the horses off to hard at the start or not hard enough or how they will get themselves boxed in and have no racing room or not even try at all ! These jockeys know what they are doing and know exactly how to throw a race there is to much money floating around for it not to be fixed so it befits them they need us to lose to pay the bills not that I’m bitter or twisted haha . And why have jockeys got funny shaped heads !

      All valid reasons Dazzmwn 😂
Why you should buy American with Flat racing or at least this time of th season’s . 🥶

Not to say it doesn’t happen over there but it’s a hell of a lot harder to do so and just a hell of a lot fairer on punters

Yeah I I prefer the American stuff any day to our British stuff . Yeah but over there they got decent prize money so don’t need to fix it as much but I’ve seen some terrible rides over there to where the horse isn’t even ridden to win . But the fav tactic I’ve noticed is they send them off way to hard and you think your onto winner only to die where it counts . These jockeys are very skilled then know what they are doing . They are probably pulling when they make it look like they are pushing or are shouting at the horse whoooah boy haha . But there you go if you don’t like it you only have to stop don’t you

Oisin Murphy riding over in South Africa today surely they won’t give him donkeys to ride they all look at ok prices as well it’s just working out which one will win or just back them all blind ! He had a winner over in India the other day so they must of invited him over knowing he was on the best horse hopefully today will be the same you would like to think you would feel a bit embarrassed as a trainer giving a world class jokey a complete donkey haha . Who knows but if they all win you read it here first haha

Right this is the dog shit I’m on today very low stakes 10p lucky 63 £6:30 returns £462 plus bonus if they all come in !probably triple jinxed now posting it up haha

    2:47 Southwell- mdawi 11/10

    4:20 Wolverhampton- cherrr king 6/4

    4:50 Wolverhampton- pop noodle 5/2

4:35 Southwell- line of force 7/2

    Aquaduct – Race 1…Buzz Rocket 4/1 Bet365 ***
Top 3 finish is 23/20 but go small win

Buzz Rocket exits a key Maiden Special Weight race on November 30, 2024 at Churchill Downs in which 4 runners (1st,3rd,4th,10th) came back to win their next start. Buzz Rocket finished 8th in that race …and at $110.000 he best do better)

    Tampa Bay -Race 2…Buzzsaw 7/4 Coral ***+
Very unlucky cry last run and a run even close to his last should take this. I thought he b up in grade but stays put

    Repost from Friday.
    Hibee1

    Miakado Wolverhampton 5.20 Saturday

So much to like about this horse. Stable debut for James Owen yard. Think most are aware of the strike rate he has with his stable switchers. He improves these lowly rated horses rattling up sequences like he’s done with the likes of Destinando, Overnight Oats, East Street etc this last 12 months.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Mikakado is rated in in the late 70s by the summer. His dam, Dew Line, went from a rating of 62 to 94 in just over a year. What really caught my eye also was realising Miakado’ half brother, Tollard Royal, who was trained by George Boughey at the time, won on his first run after being gelded and a break. Miakado is having his first run tomorrow after being gelded in November and also having a 84 day break.
He clearly enjoys Wolverhampton going off his only run here in September where he would no doubt have eon if he hadn’t reared up as the stalls opened missing the break. Next run at Southwell he found trouble in running and would no doubt have been a lot closer with a clear run.

Expecting this to be heavily punted, really interested to see the opening shows this afternoon. Those prices will be snapped up I guarantee.
New yard and surroundings, gelding operation, return to Wolverhampton, trainers very impressive 30% strike rate at the track, only runner on the card for them as well, half brother winning after gelding operation, dam improving markedly in a fairly short time. Everything points to this being a winner tomorrow. I’ll be looking to go 1.5 stake but obviously that depends on how it is priced up.

Hopefully something useful for someone to pick out of that fir their own bets. All the best.
    🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️🕳️

I hope none of you were roped into backing this.
It’s a familiar long winded script that we’ve seen regularly in recent months and usually on low grade events, I expect it to be heavily backed, 1.5 stake etc.

Anyone recommending lumping on any horse in a 5 furlong class 6 donk fest at Wolverhampton needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Posting this long winded nonsense can have an effect when posting on sites like this and usually the author will be backing another in the race as the punted horse will be a false favourite created by these types of posts.

For the record it came 6th of 8 runners.
