LORD TORRANAGA (4.05) is a rare runner for Phil Kirby at Lingfield and the hint is worth taking in the 1m 4f handicap.

The six-year-old won over Wolverhampton's extended nine furlongs 18 days ago but he has scored over hurdles at Sedgefield, so stamina is not a concern. Hat-trick seeking French Minstrel, raised 6lb for his latest success, will help make the market.

QUEEN'S SARGENT (2.50) ran a promising sixth in the Spring Mile at Doncaster's Lincoln meeting and should go close in the 7f handicap at Catterick. Kevin Ryan has his string in good form and Queen's Sargent was a dual winner over this trip at Thirsk and Beverley last July. Parys Mountain held off Chookie Dunedin over course and distance a fortnight ago but this looks a bit tougher.

ALRIGHT SUNSHINE (1.25) can get punters off to winning start on Perth’s varied and interesting eight-race card.

Keith Dalgleish’s gelding is a smart staying handicapper on the level and although still to cut the mustard over hurdles (three-time bumper winner), Alright Sunshine remains unexposed in this maiden hurdle sphere.

Carry On The Magic flopped on first start for Paul Nicholls but was well backed, so better things were obviously anticipated. Jetaway Joe was beaten 33 lengths at Hereford following a wind operation and Enemenemynemo ran third at Southwell in early March. So a bigger danger may be Navan fourth Wowsham representing the successful Stuart Crawford/Brian Hughes combo.

in regard to TRUE ROMANCE, the trainers BROTHER rides winners for him, yet is on another horse in the same race, for me that is a red flag. i associate ROSS CHAPMAN with J WALTON and M BARNES, he has rides for both there today. BOL

Well if Harry Skelton had a bad day at Sedgefield (four 2nds) Brian Hughes can only describe his day as desastreus. Not only did he managed to get himself unseated over the last fence of the first race he managed to get to his feet only to collide with a horse that could not get out of his path.

The pressure must be getting to both of them, Hughes has not rode a winner in 14 rides and Skeltons stats don’t fair much better (no winner in 10 rides)

Brian Hughes is staying at Perth for the next three days were his strike rate at the track is 13%. I don’t claim to be a mathamatician but he has 18 booked rides and he needs 9 winners and Harry to have the rest of the week off. Skelton takes 6 rides at Ludlow were he has a 22% strike rate.

You could argue the niether jockey is in form just now but tomorrow is another day and they are 1 and 2 in the table as a result of riding winners. We will see.

I can’t go without saying well done to Busstop. Fantastic quality tipping. I reckon both Brian Hughes & Harry Slelton hopes he tips a couple of there horses later,

Thanks Postman .Good day myself yesterday but bookies will have had an excellent day overall as you point out everybody is looking at Hughes and Skeltons mounts at the moment and yesterday neither did anything.

Im leaving them both alone again today but anything can happen.
