Hectic was woeful on Sunday, a performance that pretty much summed up the last few days.
Monday's racing isn't much better and if given the option, I wouldn't be posting a thing. Unfortunately, that option is not up for discussion and I do have to put something up. It's a tad on the short side, but it's the only horse I could find that I would personally put money down and back myself.
Equity Law 6/4 – Windsor 7.10
As already mentioned, my selection for Monday is a tad on the short side, however, he looks a strong enough favourite on paper to get the job done and I'm happy enough to lay the selection myself.
Equity Law showed promise as a juvenile, he ran four times as a two-year-old, placing twice and winning once during that time. My selection was then off the track for 231 days and also gelded in that time. He made his comeback run at Bath, but he appeared to be in dire need of the run there. Additionally, the testing ground conditions didn't seem to play into his favor, which makes sense given all his previous form was on better ground as a juvenile. He was beaten a whopping 14L by the eventual winner Adaay In Devon. I mean there is no shame in defeat to that one, as Adaay In Devon has gone on to win at Listed level and also has form on both good and testing ground conditions.
Equity Law quickly put that run behind him, as a return to better ground at Sandown with a recent run under the belt, seen him in better light. I thought he traveled nicely throughout that contest and showed good grit to hold on in the final furlong, as the runner-up was closing him down to line. That particular runner-up was Shagraan from the Mick Appleby yard. Shagraan was a well punted horse at Royal Ascot on the Friday, gambled into second favourite throughout the day. He didn't win that day, however, finished fifth and 2 and a quarter lengths of the winner in a competitive class two handicap.
Equity Law remains an unexposed horse and you can argue a 3lb rise for his recent success now looks on the lenient side of things. This sharp 5f should be right up his street and with Oisin Murphy riding again, he should take all the beating if running to a similar level as his last run.

Glamorous breeze 7-10 Windsor.
11-10 top 3 finish NAP/NB ? SKYBET..
I’m assuming cairnzy has tipped the winner of this race above ? but 11-10 bit short for win purposes so going with this at the same price for my nap.
Won this race last year and is 4 pound lower today.
Weighted to beat woolhampton and isle of lismore (now non runner) so we’re left with a field of 6.
Danger alert and cluedo appear to have no chance so we’re left with 4 viable candidates ??.
His best runs also have come this time of year,
It’s at BETWAY not SKYBET ?
My NAP/NB came 3rd.
Shit price 11-10;but above evens and double stake make it profitable.
Don’t know what happened to cairnzys tip.
Not seen the race but not in 1st 4.
Did it fall or summat ?
