Last week wasn't the best in terms of profit but we did get a return on every L15, with two showing a profit. Nine of the first fourteen selections either won or placed, the L15 finished a harmless -2.04pts (0.1pt e/w), backing the singles 0.5pts each way won 3.85pts.
Why I ignored Duran and stuck in Teej A I may never know, but that has been a reoccurring theme since joining the team and provides food for thought going forward. Significantly was never involved, whilst the final two runners of the day both placed at a double figure price.
Attacanter Racing Tips
Suanni 4/1 EW- 20.30 Wolverhampton
Darryl Holland has done little wrong for us so when we see a recent C&D winner just 2lbs above at just about a fair price, he is easy enough to include on a day where we hope to be rewarded for selecting shorter price runners.
There isn't much else to like about the horse besides his preference for the AW, having won at a few different venues. Before his recent C&D success he was last winning back in April at Lingfield off 1lb lower.
With the yard going OK, the horse has enough scope to go in again but at the very least all being well will be hitting the frame.
Photon 6/1 EW – 18.30 Wolverhampton
I have just scraped Dawn of Liberation as 12s was lost, this horse has also seen support but overall has the more likeable profile despite DOL being well treated. I mentioned the trainer recently and in general his have been running to an acceptable standard to suggest its a decent time to chance his.
An extremely consistent AW performer, the horse has done it's best work over C&D in this grade, going down by a neck earlier in the year, now 3lbs lower with the claimer reached for, we can hope for a better run having failed miserably on turf last time. Eagle Day was mulled over and could hit the frame.
Malangen 8/1 EW- 15.05 Perth
This is not exactly a shrewd selection given the look of the race, with only 3 places on offer, we will definitely have easier assignments however the horse actually won this race last year and should be going for it.
The horse was a nice 3rd here last time and now drops back down to two mile, we're 2lbs above the win last year which seems fair given the price. The trainer is a small name but does do some of her best work here.
Myna 7/2 EW – 17.15 Brighton
Marcus Tregoning is a yard in decline but a chance is taken on his runner at a course he used to do quite well at. Many eyes will be on The Thunderer, and for good reason but I am happy enough with Myna.
The jockey has a ride for Tom Ward who is in red hot form, their runner is an each way price who ran well on handicap debut on the forecast soft going. It may well be a better addition to the bet than this one but the difference in place money isn't really significant.
Myna is a lightly raced 3yo who has gone close enough a couple of times at Newbury this season, given how well the trainer knows this place, he must think the horse will be fine and the going is unlikely to be that disadvantageous with plenty having to prove they like it. Afloat was the punt I've decided not to take.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
