Arnold Palmer Invitational betting tips

The PGA Tour heads to Florida this weekend for the latest signature event of the season at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. After a couple of weeks of ‘lesser' events, all of the big names are set to tee it up this week in one of the biggest events outside of the majors.

It's the start of a brilliant few months of golf, with the Players Championship set to take place next week before attention turns to the first major of the season at the Masters in the middle of April. Laying down a marker this week would, therefore, be handy for the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

As ever, the Arnold Palmer Invitational will take place at Bay Hill Golf Club – a par-72 track that has proven difficult in recent years with three of the last five winning scores all -9 or worse. Scottie Scheffler, the exception to the rule so often, shot -15 to win the event last year.

Scheffler is back again this year looking for his first tournament win of the season, but is he worth a punt, given his status as the favourite with all of the best golf betting sites?

Let's find out – here are our Arnold Palmer Invitational betting tips.

Arnold Palmer Invitational betting tips

Scottie Scheffler EW (Ten places) – 3/1

Not for the first time this season, I'm perhaps playing it safe and backing Scottie Scheffler to come out on top this week but at some point, he is going to win one and this is a place where he has frequently played his best golf.

He first won the tournament back in 2022 before becoming a two-time champion last year in a typical, dominant display from start to finish. He ended up beating Wyndham Clark in second place by five strokes which was the largest winning margin at this event since Tiger Woods won by the same margin in 2012.

Sandwiched in between those two wins was a tie for fourth in 2022 so to be frank, it would be a huge shock if Scheffler didn't at the very least cover the each-way part of the bet.

His best performance of the season so far came last time out at the Genesis Invitational where he finished in a tie for third. The world number one is trending upwards and with some huge golf tournaments on the horizon, expect him to be fully locked in this week.

Tommy Fleetwood EW (Ten places) – 18/1

A common theme around Bay Hill is the idea that each hole gets harder with each shot. While tee shots are generally quite straightforward, there are 84 bunkers dotted around the course with the vast majority protecting the greens.

When you factor in water being in play on more than half of the holes, it's easy to see why the greens at Bay Hill have ranked inside the top ten hardest to hit in regulation annually since 2019.

One man who has excelled in approach shots so far this season is Tommy Fleetwood. The uber-consistent Englishman currently has the fifth-highest greens in regulation percentage in 2025 and is ranked first for strokes gained on approach shots.

Fleetwood has come close to winning this event in the past, too, finishing in a tie for third back in 2019. Could this finally be the week he breaks his PGA Tour duck?

Russell Henley EW (Ten places) – 28/1

One man who has quietly been going about his business in an impressive manner this season is Russell Henley who is surely close to his fifth win on the PGA Tour.

The American has finished inside the top ten in three of his five appearances on the tour so far this year and hasn't come close to missing the cut in any event. Not only does Henley have recent form on his side but he also has a good track record around Bay Hill. He finished in a tie for fourth last year and in a tie for 13th two years prior.

Henley's iron stats are decent enough this season, too. He boasts a 73% record when it comes to greens hit in regulation and is inside the top 25 on strokes gained on approach shots.
