Friday’s Football Tips: Burnley seeking top marks in the EFL Championship

Burnley have the chance to go top in the EFL Championship tonight but won't have it easy as in-form Middlesbrough come to Turf Moor.

The Clarets went through a sticky spell where they only collected three points in four games but the response has been tremendous, with four successive wins taking them up to second place.

With leaders Sheffield United not in action until Sunday, another victory tonight would send Scott Parker's men above them at the summit.

Middlesbrough are also flying though and after four wins in their last five matches, boss Michael Carrick will be looking to move just three points behind Burnley in the table.

Middlesbrough have scored 13 times across their last three road trips but now take on a Clarets side who have kept clean sheets in their last five games.

That makes it hard to predict if we'll see a lot of goals but I reckon this should be a decent watch. Kwiff price BTTS at just 4/5 but if you add on over 2.5 goals it boosts the odds to 11/10.

Burnley have yet to taste defeat at home this season so they should just have the edge and Kwiff price them at a decent 23/20 for the win.

On-loan Liverpool winger Ben Doak has been making a big impact at Boro and Burnley will have to find a way to cope with his raw pace. The Scotland international is 8/5 to either score or assist with Bet365 while Connor Roberts, the man most likely to mark him, is 7/2 to be carded.

Atalanta vs AC Milan top betting tips

Atalanta also have the chance to go top of the pile in Italy tonight as they take on AC Milan seeking a ninth successive win in all competitions.

The Europa League winners have moved up a level since the start of the season and fans are now dreaming of a first Serie A title triumph in the club's history.

It won't be easy against Milan though as the Rossoneri are also in excellent form, going unbeaten across their last seven matches.

Kwiff make Atalanta their 41/50 favourites but it's probably better going for the half-time draw, which pays 6/5 with the same firm.

We should plenty of action at both ends, with BTTS coming up in all three meetings last term. Combining BTTS and over 2.5 goals only pays 8/11 but over 3.5 strikes on its own takes you to 29/20 at Kwiff.

Stuttgart vs Union Berlin top betting tips

Stuttgart have struggled to match last season's Bundesliga heroics and desperately need a win tonight against Union Berlin to spark their campaign back into life.

After defying the odds by finishing second last term, Stuttgart now find themselves down in ninth and have won just two of their last seven games in all competitions.

But they will fancy their chances against a Union Berlin side in even worse form, with the capital club going six games without a win.

Kwiff make Stuttgart their 13/20 favourites but if you add on over 1.5 goals it boosts the odds to 11/10 with Bet365.

The half-time draw has come up in the last three games for Union so that's another decent option tonight at 11/10 with Kwiff.
