WE'VE had three busy nights of European football and we're now faced with a fairly hectic Friday programme.
There are six top-flight games in Scotland and England with the Scottish games brought forward to give Steve Clarke more time to prepare some players for next week's Euro 2020 play-off final in Serbia.
Unfortunately for Clarke the games involving Rangers and Celtic have to be played on Sunday as both were playing in the Europa League on Thursday.
Premiership matches include St Mirren vs Dundee United and Aberdeen vs Hibs and in the Championship Dundee travel to Alloa. I've posted a separate Scottish preview.
In the Premier League we have Southampton vs Newcastle and Brighton vs Burnley. Interesting to see how the Saints manage without injured striker Danny Ings while there's not much to split Brighton and Burnley. Brighton haven't won at home while Burnley are winless on the road – so does this mean it will be a draw?
Elsewhere Cardiff meet Bristol City in the Championship and Harrogate face Skelmorsdale in the FA Cup. Skelmorsdale are the lowest-ranked side left in the tournament and should win big. HullShaker has put up some goals tips on the game.
On the Continent Elche vs Celta Vigo, Werder Bremen vs Cologne, Sassuolo vs Udinese and Strasbourg vs Marseille.
Sassuolo games had been full of goals until they won 2-0 at Napoli and plenty of strikes in Udinese matches too. At first glance it looks a goals bet but on the h2h the last six meetings have gone under 2.5 so a straight Sassuolo win might be the way to go.
Werder and Cologne have both seen both sides scoring in their previous three and five of those six games have finished 1-1 as have two of the last four meetings in Bremen. Another 1-1 pays 6-1 at bet365 while the draw is 13-5.
I've decided to go with a treble on Sassuolo, Aberdeen and Dundee. It pays 9-1 so low stakes.
Well done to all the winners onThursday with loads of goals again in the Europa League, especially in the early kick-offs.

Vitesse v Emmen – Sunday
Vitesse has shown some great football this season and they really deserve being in 2nd place. Vitesse only lost 1 game all season and that was away at Ajax (2-1). They won 6 of their 7 games. They scored 2+ in 5 of their 7 games and 2+ in all 3 home games.
Vitesse have the best defence in the league only conceding 4 goals, 2 goals were conceded in the away game at Ajax. Vitesse conceded 1 at home and that was against PSV.
Emmen (16th) are still winless in 7 and only have 3 points. In the last 2 games they conceded 7 goals against Heerenveen (4-0) and Feyenoord (2-3). I think Vitesse are even better than those two teams. Emmen only scored a total of 2 goals in 3 away games this season. 1 of these goals was a huge mistake and an own goal by the PSV goalkeeper. Emmen will also miss captain Anco Jansen in this game, he is suspended.
Vitesse already played against some similar teams in the relegation zone and beat RKC (0-1), Sparta (2-0) and ADO (0-2). I can only see a home win in this games and the asian handicap line looks like a nice bet.

Probably the most consistent poster on here in recent months – there’s not many that trulyget South American leagues under their skin and it is a moody mistress if you don’t pay close attention to detail and form.
Elvis deserves huge kudos for the time spent sifting through what is often a massive card – you can pull out a few SA crackers quite easily but to maintain it over a period of months is something altogether different.
