Wexford will look to jump back inside the playoff places as they welcome 8th-placed Treaty United to Ferrycraig Park on Thursday night in a fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
James Keddy’s hosts are the highest scorers in the Irish First Division, banging in 33 goals across their opening 19 matches, with 17 (52%) of them coming in front of their supporters.
The Youths have made the net bulge in each of their opening 10 league outings on home soil – notching on multiple occasions in six of their last eight – and will be confident of finding the target once again at home against a Treaty defence without a clean sheet in each of their previous eight road trips, shipping multiple goals in four (50%) of them.
Treaty have scored 19 goals across their opening 20 matches in the Irish second tier this campaign, with nine (47%) of them coming on their travels.
The Shannonsiders have made the net bulge in 8/10 (80%) of their trips – including in each of their previous four – and will look to trouble a Wexford defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this season, shipping multiple goals in 11/19 (58%) of them.
