Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Europa League qualifiers and I’ve come up with a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

It’s a big night in Istanbul on Thursday as Turkish giants Besiktas welcome Swiss side Lugano to the Besiktas Stadium, and just like the first leg, I’m expecting to see goals.
It’s been quite the start to life as Besiktas boss for Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with his new side unbeaten in each of his opening four matches in charge.
The Ex-Rangers player and manager began by thrashing city-rivals Galatasaray 5-0 in the Turkish Super Cup before securing victories over Samsunspor and Antalyaspor in the league to make it two wins from two.
The Black Eagles were on course to make it four wins from four in all competitions as they led 0-1 and 1-3 in Switzerland last week in their Europa League playoff first leg, but Lugano managed to level it at 3-3 to set up an exciting second leg.
Mattia Croci-Torti’s visitors also made a fast start to their league campaign, winning each of their opening three Swiss Super League fixtures before falling to a 2-3 defeat at home to Luzern to leave them in sixth position, just a point off the top.
The Bianconeri have already travelled to Istanbul this term, as they were knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers by Fenerbahçe, losing 6-4 on aggregate – including a 2-1 loss in the Turkish capital in the second leg.

Lugano's opening 10 competitive fixtures this season are averaging a staggering 4.40 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score banking in nine (90%) of them – including both meetings with Turkish side Fenerbahçe just last month.
What’s more, Besiktas’s six European contests on home soil last season averaged 3.5 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score clicking in four (67%) of them – including a 2-3 loss against their Swiss opponents last October.
Therefore, I’m happy to back both of these high-scoring sides finding the target in Istanbul on Thursday night in what is hopefully another entertaining and high-scoring encounter between the pair.
