Following a disappointing weekend, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Finnish top flight, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

KuPS will look to extend their lead at the top of the Finnish Veikkausliiga table tomorrow evening as they travel to the Tammelan Stadion to take on third-placed Ilves in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Joonas Rantanen’s hosts are the leading scorers in the Finnish top flight, slamming in 48 goals across their opening 23 matches, with an impressive 34 (71%) of them coming on home soil.
The Tampere-based club have found the back of the net in each of their previous 11 league outings in front of their supporters – remarkably scoring on multiple occasions in 10 (91%) of them – and will look to continue their incredible goal-scoring record at home against a KuPS backline that has registered just two clean sheets on their travels this season.
Jani Honkavaara’s visitors are the fourth-highest scorers in the Veikkausliiga this term, banging in 42 goals across their opening 23 fixtures, with 15 (36%) of them coming on their travels.
The Keltamusta have failed to score in just three of their league contests – striking on multiple occasions in 13 (57%) of them – and will look to trouble an Ilves defence that has shipped multiple goals in six of their last 11 league outings in front of their supporters.

Ilves’ opening 12 league outings in front of their supporters have averaged a staggering 4.17 goals per game, with Over 2.5 Goals banking in 10 of their last 11 – and given the same has landed in five of KuPS’ previous six league contests on their travels – I’m happy to have a punt on there being a minimum of three strikes, a selection that has landed in each of the last five meetings between the sides in Tampere, including earlier in the season in May.
