Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the Norwegian OBOs-ligaen and I’ve picked a goals-based selection from two of the matches.
Åsane vs KFUM
?? OBOS-ligaen
⏰ Thursday 7th July, 17:00
Fifth-placed KFUM will look to keep the pressure on the three sides directly above them in the table, as they travel to the Åsane Arena to take on mid-table Åsane.
Åsane came back from two-goals down last time out, to draw 2-2 away to fellow mid-table side Fredrikstad. Åsane won their last home fixture 2-1 against Sandnes Ulf, meaning Morten Røssland’s side have lost just one of their last four fixtures in-front of their own supporters and that came against high-flying Ranheim. Åsane have found the back of the net in 10/12 of their matches this season, scoring two or more in four of their last six. Åsane are one of three sides still yet to keep a clean in the league this season and only Grorud and Skeid (both 25) have conceded more goals than the 24 they have.
KFUM won for the third straight game in-front of their own supporters last time out, as they won 3-2 at against Sogndal. KFUM lost 4-1 against Ranheim in their last away fixture, meaning Jørgen Isnes has saw his side win just one of their last four on their travels. Käffa are one of only two sides in the OBOS-ligaen to have found the back of the net in all 12 of their league fixtures and are third-highest scorers in the division, scoring on 22 occasions. KFUM have registered just two clean sheets this season, with none of those coming on the road and have also conceded on 21 occasions, with eight of those coming in their last three matches.
Ranheim vs Skeid
?? OBOS-ligaen
⏰ Thursday 7th July, 17:00
Ranheim will look to maintain their second place position in the OBOS-ligaen table, as they play host to lowly Skeid at the EXTRA Arena.
Ranheim threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Kongsvinger last time out, which helped bring up Monday’s Bet of the Day. Prior to that draw, Ranheim had won seven of their previous nine matches (W7-D1-L1), including each of their last four. Hugo Pereira’s side have found the back of the net on multiple occasions in eight of their last 10 league matches, including in each of their last six.
Skeid claimed just their second win of the season, as they defeated fellow-strugglers Grorud 3-2 last time out which helped bring up Sunday’s Bet of the Day. Gard Holme’s side have lost 10 of their opening 12 fixtures in the OBOS-ligaen, including all five of their matches on their travels. The Bulls have the joint-worst defensive record in the division, conceding 25 times, with 18 of those coming in their seven matches against top-half sides.
Bet of the Day
Fifth-placed KFUM travel to mid-table Åsane in a match that promises goals. The hosts have found the back of the net in 10/12 of their league matches this season, whilst the visitors have scored in all 12 and given Åsane have yet to record a solitary clean sheet this season and KFUM have conceded in all six of their away fixtures, both will be expected to contribute in a match that should see at least three strikes.
Ranheim are one of the most in-form teams in the OBOS-ligaen and will expect to defeat lowly Skeid. Hugo Pereira’s hosts have scored on multiple occasions in eight of their last 10, including in each of their last six and should bag another brace against a Skeid side who has the joint-worst defensive record in the division, as well as losing all five of their away fixtures so far this season.
